IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT:

For financial reasons, we are closing the website for Immigrant Peace (formerly Casa de Paz SLV). We will now be using social media exclusively for outreach.

For services or to network, you can contact us at [email protected] We will be much more responsive via email. Thank you for your support in our mission to provide holistic trauma support to asylum seekers, refugees and new immigrants.

In partnership with MUTU. Org, on May 1st, Belinda Broden & Gina M Barrett will be meeting virtually with a group of women at the Dzaleka Refugee Camp to discuss the logistics of the 1000 Women project. The intention of the project is to help women to support their families and reduce the need for prostitution and the occurrence of drug addiction. The thought is that they will make clothing for your donations.

We will also be discussing offering an experiential trauma-informed training of trainers, so trainers can easily share self regulation techniques with their neighbors.

We continue to offer support chats and holistic trauma support retreats. Those sheltering in place are encouraged to utilize our YouTube Channel for coregulation practices. To apply for services, contact [email protected]

Immigrant Peace is always looking for volunteers. Donations are also needed an appreciated.

Our biannual board meeting is next Wednesday morning. This is a critical meeting where we will decide if we stay open or close. We need fresh leadership to stay open. We need volunteers to take on the director role, board members and program volunteers.

This is a way that you can really make a difference and provide support for the trauma experienced being a new immigrant, refugee or asylum seeker.

Please join us. Link in bio to apply to volunteer.

With so many of our immigrant brothers and sisters sheltering in place or self deporting, we feel it is time to step up.

Because so many of us are in survival mode, Immigrant Peace is also struggling. We are discussing whether to close or not. However, we see the need for our services and we want to continue to provide them. This is what we need to stay open...

~Volunteer Director or Co-directors to spend a few hours each week applying for grants, along with training volunteers and supervising programs

~Volunteer licensed therapists to facilitate support chats for those sheltering in place

~Volunteer trauma-informed practitioners to create self regulation practice YouTube videos for those sheltering in place.

~New Board Members, including someone who will make a three year commitment to being Treasurer

~Volunteers to help facilitate retreats at Western Mass Equine Therapy

~DONATIONS...Until we get that seed money grant, we rely on your donations and volunteerism

A big thank you to all who believe that what we share is needed. Your support gives us the strength to carry out our mission of holistic trauma support for new immigrants.

It took several months, but my donation of an iPhone to Ntabe Adolphe Mugalihya for his holistic trauma support work in the Dzaleka Refugee Camp in Malawi, Africa made it!

Ntabe is also a contributor in my book. He wrote a poem about the life of a refugeee, called Gunshots.

Please volunteer and donate at www.casadepazslv.org

Your help is needed more than ever, as refugees live with limited rations and an inability to immigrate due to the Trump admin cuts.

Order my book at Singing Dragon. A percentage of the profits goes to . 🥰
