Today, we honor the courageous individuals who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. We are forever grateful for their dedicated service.

There can be some confusion between Memorial Day, Veterans Day, and Armed Forces Day, so let’s clarify: Memorial Day honors those who died in service; Veterans Day celebrates all who have served in the military; and Armed Forces Day pays tribute to those currently serving.

So, while we at the DAVA John H. Dunn Unit 10 consider every day Veterans Day, today (Memorial Day) is a special day to specifically remember and honor those who lost their lives defending our freedom.
