We are very proud of our Science Director, Dr. Tanya Ruble. She was recently invited to speak at the 2026 Wallace Research Symposium on Talent Development in Iowa City, Iowa. Tanya presented the findings of her doctoral dissertation "Exploring the Enrollment Decline in Advanced Science Coursework: Stories About High-Achieving Students, Counselors, Parents, and State Policy, as Told From the Perspectives of Teachers of Advanced Courses". Tanya is pictured with her Chairman from ASU, Dr. Bronwyn McFarlane.

Arkansas AIMS is looking for a Math Director. This is a full time position. Arkansas AIMS is not part of ARTRS. The candidate must have experience teaching AP Calculus and/or AP Statistics and preference will be given to someone who is a reader for CollegeBoard. We are so lucky to have teachers like Tim Trawick serve as presenters for Arkansas AIMS. Most recently he demonstrated how he uses his violin to help AP Physics students understand waves.

Yesterday students at Brinkley High School presented their STEM projects and our Arkansas AIMS Science , Director, Dr. Tanya Ruble, was lucky enough to be there. This is part of our partnership with GEAR UP Arkansas.

Visit our booth at the AGATE Conference going on right now at the Convention Center in Rogers. Tomorrow (Friday) Dr. Tanya Ruble, Science Director, will be facilitating a session along with Susan Skinkle, ELA Director, and John Allison, Math Director. The session, Acceleration with AR AIMS is at 10:40 in Room 5 Salon AB. Learn how AR AIMS can help you implement an accelerated learning plan for your school.

Our AR AIMS Directors hit a homerun again this year. All four have been invited by College Board to score AP Exams. John Allison will be scoring AP Precalculus, Tanya Ruble will be scoring AP Chemistry, Susan Skinkle was asked to score and be a Table Leader for AP Language and Rhonda Riggin was asked to score and be a Table Leader for AP Biology. Scoring AP exams is one of the best ways that we educate ourselves to help AR teachers prepare students for AP exams. Many of our consultants and presenters will receive invitations to score also. We will post them as they come in
