๐ŸŒผ | In July we had two great bumble bee surveys, one at Lewis Ocean Bay and one at Brookgreen Gardens. We documented five different species and participants were able to get up close and personal with these charismatic pollinators. Thank you to everyone who joined. ๐Ÿ“ข | The Grand Strand Chapter of the South Carolina Native Plant Society is accepting applications for our Fall 2026 Grant Program.

If your organization, community group, or school is interested in working with native plants in any capacity, we invite you to consider applying for a grant. Projects must be directed at protecting, restoring, and/or educating the public or students about native plants or plant communities in the Grand Strand region of South Carolina (including Florence, Georgetown, Horry, Marion, or Williamsburg counties). The Chapter anticipates funding 3 to 4 projects up to $1,500.
