This week in the math room, first graders are stepping into the role of teachers, guiding their peers in writing, spelling, and modeling numbers using ten frames. We are truly impressed by their enthusiasm for growth and leadership!

Boys and Girls Club is all about GROWTH 💚 Our Greenbrier-Westside location has been working on their garden since before the start of summer. Students enjoyed reaping some of the benefits of the things they have GROWN themselves. They tend to the garden regularly, and it was exciting for them to see some of their hard work pay off.

Today, our Westside location enjoyed a heated game of Jeopardy! They teamed up, and answered questions that covered all subject areas. They worked together in teams, and only “phoned a friend” when they needed to. It was so much fun to watch them answer questions with confidence and work collaboratively.

Greenbrier has been creating memories one masterpiece at a time. Eastside has been turning dreams into art; and Westside club members showed off their dance moves during Freede Dance Friday!🎨💃🏻

Eastside worked very hard on their artwork, using q-tips for dot painting and abstract art. Students enjoyed incorporating creativity through individual artwork and free movement.

Back to school, back to school!🍎💙📚

What a pleasure it has been to welcome new faces (and some familiar faces) at both our Westside and Eastside locations in Greenbrier. After school has been filled with all of our favorite things; zones of regulation activities, jewelry club, get to know me projects, and some fun outside time with permitting weather. We are so happy to have our students back in after school, and we are looking forward to yet another wonderful school year!
