We are getting very close to the completion of the Welcome Learning and Counseling Center project! Would you like to help us finish strong? The focus this week has been on dirt work for the WLCC, which will continue into the first part of next week. The dirt work crew is moving and grading dirt, preparing for sidewalks, parking lots, and road. Andrew has enjoyed getting to help the crew by running some equipment! We are thankful for the good progress made this week!

A special thanks to our Board Chairman, Jeremy Riddle! Last week, he brought out his equipment and baled over 150 bales of hay that will be used to feed our growing cattle herd this fall and winter. Anyone who knows Jeremy, knows that he knows his way around a cattle farm. We are so thankful for all that he does, including teaching Andrew how to grow and maintain the cattle program! As this program expands, it will help provide beef for families that are under our care.

A $50,000 gift was given last week by an anonymous donor toward the final construction costs of the Welcome Learning and Counseling Center! The finish line is in sight! Between committed gifts, and the funds we have in-hand, we only need around $150K to completely finish the project! That is only 10% of the original $1.5 million that we needed to complete this project and open the doors to help more children and families! We will be sharing more about the completion of the Welcome Learning and Counseling Center and how you can help us reach the finish line in the days and weeks to come! God is faithful. His people are generous. We are overwhelmed with gratitude. Thank you for giving families a chance.

$108,179!!!!

The 8th annual 48 Hours of Giving was a success! On April 24th, at the end of the final hour, the goal was exceeded with $86,383 given. But God had other plans! He put it on the hearts of many to continue to give throughout that weekend, bringing the total to $108,203. All of it goes directly to operational costs.

Additionally, bonus funds of $8,000 was given by a couple to go directly toward the amount needed for finishing the Welcome Learning and Counseling Center.

Thank you Lord for your faithfulness! Thank you to all who gave for your generosity!

Thank you!! Because of God’s faithfulness and your generosity, this year’s 48 Hours of Giving campaign raised a total of $86,343!
In addition, because we reached our goal, Soaring Wings will receive an $8,000 bonus for the Welcome Learning and Counseling Center.
