Our Story

The Greater Vision of Horry County, Inc. is playing a role in helping people whose lives are impacted by joblessness, homelessness, poverty and lack of access to the services needed to improve their overall quality of life. Our goal is to work with National, State and Local businesses, agencies and individuals to develop effective community programs and infrastructures to support sustainable economic prosperity for those who have the greatest need. We will develop communities where those in need have clean air, potable water, security, and access to jobs, transportation, nutritious food and dependable healthcare. We will use green technology and renewable energy sources to build affordable housing with reliable power grids and creative mobility solutions. This important work is supported largely by the support of generous donors who contribute to our current capital campaign. Our June 30, fiscal year end 2016 campaign goal is $1,000,000, which will allow The Greater Vision of Horry County, Inc. to establish and provide much needed services to those in our community who are in need of assistance. Specifically, the in kind or cash donations will fund the personnel, contract services, general operations, office equipment, and transportation expenses of the organization. Without the continued support of generous donors like you, the needs of our communities will likely go unmet. We're a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization, and in kind or cash donation may be completely tax -deductible. In order to continue making a difference in the lives of individuals affected by the work of The Greater Vision of Horry County, Inc., it is vital for this year's capital campaign to be a success. Your support will also help fund our youth enrichment programs like The Kingston Lake Education and Business Centers’ After School Program and Youth Athletic Department helps keep over 100 at risk youth in a safe environment and off the streets, while parents are at work.
