We had the pleasure of having Justin Martin, Youth Advocate with Deliver Hope, as our guest speaker yesterday.

For the past two years, Justin has worked closely with young people, encouraging them to make positive choices and discover a life of purpose and hope. He brings a unique combination of ministry, service, and personal experience to everything he does. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Ministry and is a 2020 graduate of Renewal Ranch.

Before entering his current role, Justin served the City of Conway for ten years as a Firefighter/EMT. During that time, he was a member of the Special Operations Rescue Team, serving as a Swift Water Swimmer, and he continues to serve the community today as Chaplain for the Conway Fire Department.

Justin and his wife, Candace, who works at Simmons Bank and serves on the board of the Ministry Center, are raising three sons: Hayden, Deagan, and Austin.

March has been a busy and inspiring month at our Noon Lions Club meetings!

Thanks to Brandy Mullins, we have had the privilege of hearing from some incredible guest speakers making a real impact in our community:

* Julie Rothacher, Director of The CALL, who shared powerful insights on supporting children and families in need.
* Derrick Carruth, who spoke about the DREAM Foundation of Central Arkansas and the meaningful work being done to uplift lives locally.
*Dr. Chad Lairamore, Associate Dean of Interprofessional Education & Community Engagement at UCA, who highlighted the importance of collaboration and community engagement in shaping a healthier future.

Thank you to each of our speakers for taking the time to educate, inspire, and connect with our members. We’re grateful for all you do to make Central Arkansas a better place!

as we welcome Allen Lipsmeyer, Mayor of Morrilton, as our guest speaker.

Lipsmeyer became Morrilton's mayor in 2015 and has championed an effort to make the city's potential a reality. Originally from Conway, he graduated from Conway High and UCA before moving to Morrilton in 1999. A former banker of 20 years, he is married to Stephanie (Stobaugh) Brown.

Based on recent interviews, Lipsmeyer hopes the city can build on the momentum it gained in 2025 and continue to flourish in 2026. The city saw significant growth in sales tax revenue - over $200,000 year-over-year - in 2025. In laying out plans for 2026, the mayor says getting the new baseball and softball complex started will be one of the priorities, and he's excited about what the prospects of that and other ongoing construction projects can do for the city

Conway Noon Lions Club welcomed Jerry Cox president and founder of Family Council, as our guest speaker today.

He is the founder of the Education Alliance, the Arkansas Physician’s Resource Council, and the Arkansas Justice Institute. In 2004 he spearheaded a successful effort to amend the Arkansas Constitution to define marriage as the union of one man and one woman. In 2008 Cox led a successful effort to pass the Arkansas Adoption and Foster Care Act. Between fundraising, public speaking, leading the staff, lobbying, and writing, Cox maintains an active role in ensuring that Family Council continues to serve the people of Arkansas as it has for more than 30 years.
