Dilly's Place is a non-for-profit in Conway Springs that started in 2009 to raise funds to build an adaptive playground in Conway Springs, KS where EVERYONE in the community could come play together. Shortly thereafter the board president Cheyrl Kelly remembered her time as a Camper at Camp Hyde and thought that Camp Hyde would be a great experience to bring families with children who have special needs together for a day of fun. When we spoke to Cheryl, she shared that each year she appreciates the Y staff who go above and beyond to make our experience memorable. The Family Fun Day has been going for 14 years strong at YMCA Camp Hyde, and we look forward to many more.

Family Fun Day is a free event for special needs individuals, their families, workers, helpers, and etc. There is not age limit! Each year the Dilly's Place, participants, and the Y look forward to the annual event which will be held this year on June 20th.

🏀 Exciting News for Our Adult Wheelchair Basketball Team! 🏀

We are thrilled to share that our program has recently purchased two new basketball chairs, helping us continue to grow and strengthen our team! Even more exciting, these chairs welcomed two incredible new players who are already making a big impact.

Please join us in welcoming Autumn Green, the current Ms. Wheelchair Kansas, and Mark Pellock, a former Kansas University basketball player from the 1980s, to our organization. We are so grateful to have both of them as part of our team and look forward to everything they will bring on and off the court.

We would also like to give a warm welcome to Ari Hutchinson and Sean Castor. We’re excited to have them on the team and can’t wait to see them grow with us on the court!

A huge thank you to the Independent Living Resource Center (ILRC) for their continued support and contributions that make opportunities like this possible. We truly could not do this without you! 💙
