I would like to thank all the Brother of Converse #601 Masonic Lodge that came together today to make our Grilled Tenderloin Dinner a success and pleasure to work with. Special thank you to Gary Hostetler, and John Huffman and Worshipful Master Jon Clark. Gary for making sure the grill tenders knew what to do. John and Jon for the afternoon and evening of great conversation and serving our customers. To all the rest, thank you for all'you did to help make this a great dinner

Our Senior Warden, Brad Hodson, will be participating in the Smoke-Off!

🚒 Swayzee Volunteer Fire Department Smoke-Off🚒

Each participant must provide at least 10 lbs of smoked pork butt or shoulder (any style, any seasoning, but must be pork butt or shoulder).

Judging Format: Three (3) judges

Each judge has 10 points to distribute among competitors, however they choose

People’s Choice Award: Each Taster can award 1 Point to their favorite. Each Attendee has 1 Vote.

On-Site Bonus: Participants who smoke meat on-site receive +5 bonus points

Scoring: Total points = Judges + People’s Choice + Bonus Points 🏆
Awards & Prizes 🥇 1st Place 🥈 2nd Place 🥉 3rd Place 💰

Grand Prize: $100 Cash Prize and a Gift Package

⚠️ Additional Guidelines: Participants are responsible for their own equipment, supplies, and setup.

Setup time begins at 6:00AM for those smoking on-site.

All food must be prepared safely and handled properly.

SVFD reserves the right to disqualify entries for unsafe or unsportsmanlike conduct.

Food must be on-site no later than 3:30PM Saturday, Aug. 22.

SVFD will provide food trays for you to place meat in for the testers. There may be some sides provided by SVFD (in addition to the smoked meat).
