We've made a nice and much needed addition to the outside of the building with our Catio. With remodeling inside coming to completion in the next few weeks, we will create access to the Catio from inside so it will allow more space outside for the furry little ones to enjoy. 🐾

We wanted to take time to address intakes and our current population.

We have received a very large amount of requests this year for intakes. Far too many for us to handle quite honestly and we absolutely wish we could. We have been at either full capacity or overcapacity for the entirety of the year so far and we don't foresee that changing. As adoptions occur we will continue to take in medical necessity exceptions only for the time being and that's only if we are able to accommodate. We are stretched as far as we can go.

To date this year we have taken in 38 and we are sitting at 20 adoptions. Our current population stands at 83.

Our Black cats we have in our current care number 15+ and their adoption fees are currently generously sponsored by Connie Riblet-Hill and her husband of Defiance. They are fee free.

Kodiak who we have featured on our page numerous times is also sponsored by Jennifer Farris-Mocherman. His adoption is fee free.

In addition our bonded tabby sisters Thelma and Louise are sponsored by Michelle Rettig, as well as our beautiful little Duchess so they are fee free.

Our current adoption fee is $100 and includes spay/neuter and vaccinations.

We do have reduced adoption fees of $50 for all those in our care who are currently spayed/neutered.

We have many furry little ones to adopt. Our Cat Lounge is set to officially open to the general public in July. Our Soft Opening is set for June 27th.

We deeply appreciate everyone's support. It truly means everything to us as we cease to exist without the support of our surrounding communities. We are making a difference and having a positive impact, that is because of your support.

Thank you everyone. 🐾❀️

An update on the little miss we took in recently, who was in dire need of help like others we have recently taken in.

She's currently on a treatment regimen with several medications. She was just a tiny little thing when we took her in and in miserable condition. We were quickly able to remedy her upper respiratory infection which was on its way to being severe. The infection in her eye was pretty well set in and she continues to be treated for it. In addition we had blood work done and all testing came back negative with FIV/FelV. She has gained weight and is now a generally healthy little girl.

Chris Nofzinger of Bryan will be taking her in once she is recovered and has named her Michelle (Shelley). Chris has been an amazing supporter of our Rescue efforts and we can't thank her enough for the very generous donations we have received from her.

An update on the little one we rescued from a manufacturing facility in Ottawa. She was in a bad way when we took her in and we honestly weren't sure which way it would go. She was severely emaciated and fairly sick. She's been on an antibiotic regimen daily. She has needed a few baths since then, as she has been dealing with gastrointestinal issues that we have been addressing.

The good news is that her upper respiratory infection is gone, her eyes have cleared up and she is gaining weight. We would venture to guess that she has likely been on her own since her mom weened her off feeding, it's very possible it was even before that. Despite her rough start in life, she has shown a zest and we're here to help her along. β€οΈβ€πŸ©ΉπŸΎ

An update on the little one we took in last week. This poor guy had a severe infection on the side of his face from what is believed to be an injury.

We've been treating his infection over the last week and ensuring he's well cared for. He has shown to be sociable and has a healthy appetite.

Today he was further vetted and tested for FIV/FelV which came back negative and further treatment of his infection is manageable!

We will continue to shelter and care for him until his next appointment to be neutered comes. After his recovery he'll be returned to his colony.

We've posted a few times about Albert in the past.

This larger than life void came to us last summer in rough shape. He was very emaciated at 5 lbs and struggling. We nursed him back to health and he is now the largest resident in our care at over 12 lbs!

Don't let his mean mugging fool you, he is big and lovable and looking for his forever home. Albert is appx. 2 years old. 🐾

Albert's Adoption fee is being sponsored by Connie Riblet-Hill of Defiance!
