Then the impact grew.

Our Cooking Made Easy Members cooked up some seriously delicious BLTs and fries in class today! Crispy bacon, fresh veggies, and perfectly golden fries — talk about a tasty afternoon in the kitchen. 😋

So proud of our Members putting their cooking skills to work and enjoying a great meal together!

A huge thank you to Travis McGregor, owner of Elijah Services Electrical, and his team for once again sharing their time and expertise with Bridgewood Farms.

As Bridgewood Farms continues to grow, we are transforming two previously vacant buildings into The Grove, a specialized classroom for adults with higher support needs, and our new Food Pantry.

Travis recently completed the first phase of electrical work in both buildings, making important upgrades to prepare the spaces for their new purpose. Once painting is complete, he’ll return to finish the remaining electrical updates and make sure everything is ready for use.

We are incredibly grateful for local businesses that choose to invest their skills and time in Bridgewood Farms and the adults we serve.

Thank You, Abraham & Zenon Gutters!

Sometimes it’s the things you don’t immediately notice that make the biggest difference.

A huge thank you to Abraham and the team at Zenon Gutters for donating and installing new gutters on our cafeteria and The Grove.

The Grove is our new classroom for adults who need a higher level of support. Having gutters on both buildings may not seem glamorous, but they play a big role in protecting the roofs, directing water away from the buildings, and helping us preserve these spaces for years to come.

As we continue preparing for Bridgewood Farms’ 60th anniversary, it’s been incredible to watch our community come together. So many businesses have stepped up to share their time, talents, and resources, and every project—big or small—helps us continue improving our campus for the amazing adults we serve.

Abraham, thank you for believing in our mission and for taking the time to help Bridgewood Farms. Your generosity, craftsmanship, and willingness to give back truly mean more than you know.

🍪 National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day Celebration! 🍪

Our members whipped up a batch of holiday spirit today, celebrating National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day with some hands-on baking fun! From measuring ingredients to pulling warm, gooey cookies fresh out of the oven, everyone got in on the action — and of course, the best part was digging in together. 😋

Nothing brings people together quite like the smell of fresh-baked cookies! Thanks to everyone who joined in and made it such a sweet day. 🍫✨

I was asked to complete a short questionnaire today. The first question was, "What are you passionate about?" with a small text field underneath it, as if it would be a short answer. (ummmm......nope)

My ultimate / condensed answer was, "I'm passionate about ensuring that everyone is seen, heard, supported, and rallied around so they can experience acceptance, find real community, and discover pathways to grow." and it felt like the right way to sum up all we do at Bridgewood Farms.

I love my "job". We embody my personal passions far better than I could have ever done on my own. I love that we meet each of our members exactly where they are, support and encourage them as we help navigate what growth and community looks like. We forge paths, create resources, and make a way.

Insanely honored to be a small part of so much good happening. Special shoutout to our instructors, facilitators, and faculty. Insanely great team doing impactful work day in and day out.

We are incredibly grateful to Cupertino and Jessica Camacho, along with the entire Camacho Roofing team, for generously donating the materials and labor to repair the siding on our future Grove classroom, our future Food Pantry, and our Cafeteria.

Their team did an outstanding job, and we truly appreciate the quality workmanship, dependable service, and genuine care they showed Bridgewood Farms throughout the entire project.

🚌 What a day! Our members hit the road today for an offsite adventure exploring history at the Texas Prison Museum in Huntsville, followed by a well-earned lunch at Taco Bell. 🌮

A huge thank-you to the wonderful staff at both the Texas Prison Museum and Taco Bell for the warm hospitality shown to our group today. Our members had an amazing time diving into local history and enjoying great food together!

Days like this remind us how much fun learning and community can be. Thank you to everyone who made it possible! 🙌

A big thank-you to Rik and Laura van den Berg with Voda Cleaning & Restoration for helping Bridgewood Farms today. Laura took the time to speak with us and coordinate the visit, and Rik came out to look at two buildings we are renovating with the help of our community.

Both buildings had been vacant for quite some time before renovations began, and we noticed a lingering musty smell. Rik inspected both spaces, confirmed there were no mold concerns, and completed a quick preventative treatment in one of the buildings.

We are incredibly grateful to Rik and Laura for their kindness, time, and expertise as we continue bringing these important spaces back to life.
