Remembering the Captain

No one can believe that it has been 3 years since our Captain sailed on. September 1st marks the day that shocked our Parrothead world, and made everyone ask, what do we do now?

The reality was in his words...we Keep the Party Going! The Coral Reefers are still touring with some additional Reefers added in. Clubs are still gaining members, and there are more house concerts, bands, musicians, and events than ever before!

We all miss Jimmy, and he resides in each of us and at club meetings, events, charity functions, and especially in our homes every day. When he sang One Particular Harbor, the famous verse was "and finally disappear," and he always then said, "but not yet." I guess he was right. He will never disappear from our hearts and minds, and as long as he is there, he is still alive and well with that smile from the stage under the bright lights.

Thank you Jimmy, we shall keep the party going for you and for us. Raise a glass of your favorite boat drink to remember the Captain!

Come on, come all - it's a free Community Event to remember those we have lost & celebrate survivors. You don't need to walk to join in - come & be the cheering squad! We DO ask that everyone register at www.5oclockphlock.com so we have a head count. It's EZ & simple. Lunch after in License To Chill for all who wish to come.

UPDATE: Landshark is NOT open on Tuesday! We will instead be at License to Chill in the main tower at 4 p.m. tomorrow. We have 18 people coming already and I have reserved for us. I can't add more, BUT if anyone else decides to join us, just come on up and take the tables around us. THIS will be a walk down memory lane! This is where we met in the beginning of our reborn club in 2021! How fun will this be ?????
Jimmy Buffett Day is the Friday of Labor Day Weekend, to commemorate the "day", rather than the "date" of Jimmy's passing each year. We know the resort will be maxed out that whole weekend, so we plan to gather at Landshark Bar & Grill at M'Ville Lake Conroe on the "day", Tuesday Sept 1st at 4 p.m. If any 5OCP Members would like to join us, we'll get there early & snag this same table for 10 on the patio. As the third anniversary of Jimmy's sunset approaches, the phlock gathered poolside at Aimee & Jonathan's backyard oasis to celebrate the incredible PHun, PHellowship & PHriendships we've built over the last 6 1/2 years together since regrouping after that nasty little hiccup that almost derailed us in 2020.
We stepped into a tropical paradise courtesy of Aimee's awesome decorating. Jonathan's chef & bartending skills gave us Cheeseburgers in Paradise & kept our glasses full. AND we played Buffett Music Bingo too - a round of applause to those who knew all the songs. A massive Thank You to our PHabulous hosts.
