Our mission is to create generational impact by sharing the good news of the gospel and providing reliable transportation and vehicle repairs to single mothers, widows, and wives of deployed military. We are a Christian Non-Profit Organization that is run primarily by volunteers, that gifts and repairs vehicles for Single Mothers, Widows & Wives of Deployed Military. www.godsgarage.org

We received GUIDE STAR'S
PLATINUM SEAL OF TRANSPARENCY in 2021 & 2022. We believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit
and born of the virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried;
he descended to hell. The third day he rose again from the dead. He ascended to heaven

🔥➡️🦋 Beauty from Ashes - Part 4️⃣- Behind every donated vehicle is a story, and behind every donation pickup is a volunteer with a passion for our mission.

Behind every donated vehicle is a story.
A memory.
A season of life.
A decision to help someone else move forward.

Through our Beauty from Ashes miniseries, we’ve shared how ordinary people are creating extraordinary impact-one act of generosity at a time. As we close this four-part series, we reflect on the lives, stories and moments that have made it so meaningful.

One of those ongoing stories belongs to our dedicated volunteer, Chuck.
For the past 10 years, Chuck has faithfully served by collecting donated vehicles for God’s Garage. With each pick up, he witnesses Beauty from Ashes firsthand, hearing the deep, personal reasons behind every donation:

➤ “I feel that God wants us to give.”
➤ “Mom can’t see, so we want her car to go to a good cause.”
➤ “I retired and this was going to be my project.”
➤ “Our daughter has passed away, and the car brings back too much trauma.”
➤ “The HOA wanted it gone.”

Chuck shared, “I know that people think carefully about each donation. We respect our donors for their support, thank them and offer to pray with them.”

Each month during our Restore U seminar, ladies walk through our doors carrying pain, uncertainty and brokenness, and they leave encouraged, equipped and reminded that they are not alone.

Here are just a few powerful takeaways shared by clients attending our May seminar:

🔥➡️🦋 Beauty from Ashes - Part 3️⃣- The Vehicle Donation That Changed Many Lives

In 2020, Karie thought she was simply donating her getaway car, but during that donation something unexpected happened.

Chuck, one of our dedicated Pick Up Team volunteers, took time to pray with Karie. In that moment, a simple vehicle donation became something deeper-connection, encouragement and hope.

That experience impacted Karie so much… She later became a volunteer at God’s Garage, then a part time staff member and today she is a full time Ministry Admin with deep compassion and infinite love for our clients, volunteers and our mission.

This is what happens when compassion meets action.
❤️ A car was donated.
❤️ A life was encouraged.
❤️ A connection inspired a donor to become a volunteer/employee who continually touches the lives of everyone she embraces.

🚘💪 One donated vehicle truly has the power to change lives and restore independence.

After years in a difficult marriage marked by addiction, debt and loss, this courageous single mother was left trying to rebuild her life from nothing. When her husband learned he was dying, he took her car, wrecked it, and it was repossessed, leaving her without reliable transportation for over a year.

Without a vehicle, everyday life became overwhelming. Getting her daughter to school and athletic events meant constantly relying on others while working to rebuild her credit and regain stability.

But through faith, perseverance and support, hope was restored. ❤️

👀🤲🫶 Seeing generosity and faith in action never gets old.

Our team gathered to pray over two vehicles we gifted earlier this year. These donated vehicles now represent more than transportation. They represent independence, opportunity and a new beginning for two women in our community.

Reliable transportation changes everything. It opens doors to employment, education, stability, and the ability to simply show up for the people who depend on you.

We’re honored to be part of stories like these and deeply grateful to every supporter who helps make them possible. None of this happens without donors, supporters and volunteers.

Here are the words of these women impacted by reliable transportation:
