Before it was called Memorial Day, it was known as Decoration Day, a tradition that began in the 1860s in the aftermath of the Civil War. Families would make their way to cemeteries to lovingly decorate the graves of soldiers who had given their lives, honoring their sacrifice with flowers, flags, and quiet remembrance.

That spirit of remembrance has never left us. ๐ŸŒฟ

For those who want to understand the heart of what those soldiers endured, historians have long praised Michael Shaara's Civil War Trilogy as one of the most moving and authentic portrayals of the war. It's the kind of storytelling that reminds us that behind every grave that was decorated on those early Decoration Days was a real person, a real family, and a real story worth remembering.

This Memorial Day, as we gather with family and community, may we never forget the sacrifice that made it all possible.

Stock up NOW before prices increase. As of February 13 childrenโ€™s paperback books will be $.50 and hardbacks $1.00.(These prices have not increased in approximately 8 years)

Puzzles: less than 1000pcs $2. More than 1000pcs $3. (These prices have not increased since we started selling puzzles almost 10 years ago. )
