👑 🐝 When inspecting the hives the goal is not always to find the queen. In fact, it’s rarely on the agenda to go on a search for her!

🎉 But in the event that we do get a lucky glimpse at the gal while checking on the colony, it really is always a treat!

& honestly… they kind of are. 😅
But every bit of that “neediness” is absolutely necessary!

🐝 Spring is when colonies are growing fast and building their entire workforce for the year.
That means:
feeding young nucs so they don’t fall behind,
checking and treating for mites before they explode,
and getting equipment ready right before the nectar flow hits. 🌼

It might look like a lot… because it is.
But this is how we create strong, healthy, thriving hives.

Do the work now → healthy bees later → honey when the time is right 🍯

So I guess really not needy… just building something bigger and better every day! 💛

👯‍♀️ Beekeeping isn’t just a skill—it’s a relationship. 🐝

🙏 It requires patience, gentleness, and the ability to listen without words. To read energy. To notice the small things most people would overlook.

💛There’s a nurturing side to it… caring for something that’s constantly changing, protecting it, supporting it, and trusting the process.

✨That’s why I believe women make such powerful beekeepers. We’re wired to tune in, to care deeply, and to work with nature instead of against it.

The bees feel that. 🤍🐝

Sunshine Day at the Montgomery County Fair and Rodeo ☀️🐝

Today was one of those days that reminds me exactly why I do what I do.

We had the absolute honor of meeting so many incredible kids and volunteers today during Sunshine Field Trip Day—curious minds, brave hearts, and the sweetest interactions with the bees. From watching little faces light up at the observation hive to answering the most thoughtful questions, every moment was meaningful.

The patience, excitement, and joy these kids brought with them today… it was something special. You could feel it.

Days like this go beyond beekeeping. This is connection. This is education. This is impact.

I’m so grateful to be a small part of something so big. 💛

Everyone - “It’s unrealistic to be a beekeeper if you’re allergic to bees…”

…meanwhile me 👁️🐝😂

Plot twist: I’m not just “a little allergic”—I’m anaphylactically allergic to bee stings. I carry an EpiPen, I take it seriously, and I stay prepared every time I step into the yard.

But I also know what I’m doing, I respect the bees, and I’ve built my entire life around caring for them well.

Risk is real—but so is purpose. And I’m not walking away from mine 💛

People ask me all the time…
“Is this your business?”
“Do you do this full time?”

The answer is YES 🤍🐝

This is my full-time work, my passion, and my purpose all wrapped into one. I get to care for some of the most important little pollinators on this planet every single day—and I don’t take that lightly.

I truly believe that what you put out into the world comes back to you. I’ve poured my heart into caring for these bees, doing right by them, respecting them, and educating others… and in return, the world has taken care of me right back.

This life, this business, these bees—it’s all connected. And I’m so grateful to be right here in it 💛
