Today was very productive! I believe it was 13 of us with chainsaws and ATVs. We cleared an estimated 14 miles of trail. These guys know how to get it done! So many tha ks to everyone that came out the past 2 Sundays.
If you talk to any of these guys be sure to shake their hand and say "Thank you"...

Reminder
This Sunday starting at 9am we have another trail work day.
This is the toughest clean up we have to deal with so far. A good size crew can gets lots done. Without help it just delays the trail opening.
We Need: A few crews with chainsaws to complete the 2nd half of Blue and the last 2/3rds of green. We could also use 2 or 3 guys on bikes with saws if you have a set up to carry them to dig into black.

Please reply of you can make it! This can't be done without help!

Sunday Trail Brushing was good today. A big thanks to Kurt, Beth, Paul and Duane for joining in and getting cleanup started.
We have lots more to do as some sections are very much un-passable!

We will be doing more work next Sunday April 26th. We really could use some more help! The sections of Jack Pines are the worst!

SUNDAY WORK DAY - 4/19/26
Starting at 9am and meeting at the Trailhead.
I have no clue what we will find! Some snow, a few puddles and I am guessing quite a bit of tree work due to our early winter ice and wind storm.

We have the club ATV and plan to at least get a full lap in on Green Loop. Asses conditions and get cleared enough to open!

Temps look to be 38 to 40 and we will be on foot. Guessing that there may be a few snow sections that will be tough to get through! This will be the 1st real assessment of the season!

If you have a chainsaw please feel free to bring it along.

Tomorrow looks a bit too much rain for me so no work tomorrow.
Next Sunday April 19th at 9am we will dig in. Let's hope for some warm temps, rain and a breeze!

We sure have been spoiled the past few years with light snowpack. This year is a bit different and the recent weather patterns have not helped. It does however look to change soon and start to melt the 2' of snow we have in many spots on the trail system.
This Sunday I have hopes to get out with the snowshoes and take a morning walk with my chainsaw.
If anyone would like to join just reply to this post!

My hope is that we can dig in both Sunday April 19th and Sunday April 26th. We will certainly have snow on the 19th and a good chance still some pockets on the 26th.

Howdy y'all. It has been a long time! Well some warmer temps and snow melt had me curious so I took a drive to The Tamaracks.
SO MUCH SNOW!
In my brief walk I realized that spring clean up will take some work this year.

Planning to look at the calendar and pick a couple days to get started soon. Snowshoes and chainsaws! Post to follow soon!
