A group of eight members enjoyed the pizza buffet at Chicago Pizza in Cambridge City Friday. June 5. We then traveled up the road to the Huddleston Farm for a presentation from the owners, Tyler and Gentry Gough, who are preservationists and organic farmers who purchased the 18-acre property from Indiana Landmarks. They were very informative about what they do and showed us around the property. A very interesting outing!

The Club has been busy! We held our annual Plant Sale on May 2...thanks to the community for making it our most successful sale ever! We also helped plant flowers in the 17 pots on Central Avenue in Connersville on May 11, and planted new flowers in our raised bed at The Oasis. Thanks to all our nembers who volunteered their time!

The Club traveled to Indianapolis on Friday, April 24 to tour the beautiful Garfield Park Conservatory. We then had lunch at The Med, a wonderful Mediterranean restaurant. Our next big event will be Saturday, May 2 at Roberts Park in Connersville, where we will hold our annual Plant Sale from 8 am to noon, or whenever we sell out. See you there!

Our annual Christmas luncheon took place at Central Christian Church on Friday, December 12. We all enjoyed delicious salads, sides and desserts provided by our members, as well as chicken tenders and beverages courtesy of the Club. Our beloved outgoing President, Mary Dalton, initiated the new Board: Nancy Bowen, President; Peggy Lykins, Vice-President; Barb Self, Secretary; Eva Stone, Treasurer. We all are thinking of Eva as she is finally home from the hospital after many weeks. We welcomed new member, Linda Young, and her husband, Bob, who recently moved to Connersville from Virginia. Our next meeting will be in March 2026...Merry Christmas to everyone!

The Club gathered at Central Christian Church in Connersville on Friday, November 21. We all enjoyed making wine bottle Gnomes. Many thanks to Mary Dalton's niece, Shannon McDonald for providing all the craft supplies and patiently helping each of us create a very unique holiday decoration! We also voted on officers for 2026: President, Nancy Bowen; Vice-President, Peggy Lykins; Secretary, Barb Self; and Treasurer, Eva Stone. Our next meeting will be at noon on December 12, when we will have our annual holiday luncheon at Central Christian Church.

The Club carpooled to Fountain City for lunch at The Eatery, followed by a very interesting tour of the Levi and Catharine Coffin home. The Coffin home was once known as Grand Central Station of The Underground Railroad in the mid 1800's, and we all learned so much more about that period before the Civil War.

The Club traveled to Oxford, OH on Friday, September 19. Eighteen members enjoyed a wonderful lunch at The Gaslight Brewhouse, then toured the Shademakers Garden Center afterward. Many mums, pumpkins and gift items were purchased...fantastic place!

Seven members of the Club attended the 2025 September Seminar at the Seasons Lodge in Nashville, IN, hosted by the Southeast District on Tuesday, September 9. Members attending were Mary Dalton, Eva Stone, Barb Self, Nancy Bowen, Diane Stanley, Debra Stanley and Carol Miller. We enjoyed a wonderful breakfast of fried biscuits and apple butter, along with a delicious buffet lunch. Seminar topics included Homegrown National Parks, Soil Improvement for Better Plants, Companion Planting, and The Nutritious and Amazing Tomato. There were many wonderful gift baskets that were raffled off, and lots of good companionship!
