Mama Hyundai has a couple reminders for you today!!!

Don’t forget to stop at Harbor Perk and get some delicious coffee and treats. Then, you can stop by for open hours today 1-5pm!!!

Meet Hyundai, a gorgeous mama with a soft heart, an incredibly soft coat, and the sweetest little personality. Hyundai was born in 2024 and came to us after a Good Samaritan found her pregnant and still waiting to deliver her babies. She was brought into our care and placed in foster, where she was able to safely have her kittens and raise them until they were old enough to be weaned.

Once her babies were ready to go off on their own, it was finally Hyundai's turn to start her next chapter. She came to the rescue and has been chillin' in the kitchen ever since. Hyundai is a very sweet girl who tends to keep to herself. She's perfectly content lounging on a cozy blanket or stretching out on one of the shelves in the kitchen, quietly taking in everything happening around her. But don't let her independent nature fool you. Hyundai absolutely loves attention. She just isn't the type to demand it.

Instead, she'll patiently wait for you to notice her. And once you do, you'll be rewarded with the sweetest little purrs. She loves getting pets, especially chin scratches, and she'll happily soak up all the attention you have to give. Hyundai is a lap cat at heart. She may need a little time to feel completely comfortable in a new environment, but once she does, she's more than happy to settle in close and enjoy some quiet cuddle time with her person.

And we absolutely cannot forget to mention how gorgeous this girl is. Hyundai has a truly unique coat with beautiful eyes that perfectly complement her coloring. She is incredibly soft, and once you start petting her, you may find yourself wanting to stay right there with her all day. She does well with other cats, and we suspect she would do just fine with children and respectful dogs with proper introductions.

Hyundai isn't looking for a busy or chaotic life. She's a laid back girl who would love a laid back home. Someone who will appreciate her quiet nature, give her the time she needs to get comfortable, and let her come to them when she's ready for some love. She spent the beginning of her time with us preparing to become a mama, then devoted herself to raising her babies. Now it's Hyundai's turn to be someone's baby.

If you're looking for a beautiful, incredibly soft and gentle girl who will patiently wait for you to notice her before rewarding you with purrs, chin scratches, and eventually a spot in your lap, Hyundai may be the perfect match for you.

Lots of people have been asking about this! Voting is now closed and we will be having a live event where there will be a pie. Every vote got us a bigger piece of that pie. Then the circle will be spun and winners picked that way! Thank you so much for everyone that voted for us every day. We did AMAZING with votes!! Top name the whole time. Kitty Spotlight!!! Meet Eraser, a ridiculously sweet girl who has been patiently waiting for her forever home.

Eraser and her sister, Pencil, were born in June 2025 and came to us after the two sisters were found dumped along Route 45. Thankfully, they made their way into our rescue where they could finally be safe, loved, and given the chance to find families of their own.

Since coming to us, Pencil has found her forever home, but Eraser is still waiting for her person. And honestly, we don't understand how she's still waiting. Eraser is incredibly sweet and wants one thing above all else: YOUR ATTENTION. This girl wants to be loved all day long. She is cuddly, affectionate, and has absolutely no problem making her feelings known when she thinks you're ignoring her. If you're not giving her enough attention, Eraser may simply grab your hand and hold onto it, politely but firmly reminding you that you have a very important job to do: you need to pet her.

Eraser is also quite the shoulder cat. She loves climbing up and getting as close to her people as possible. Whether she's curled up on your shoulder, in your arms, or demanding cuddles, she simply wants to be near you. She doesn't just want a little bit of affection either. Eraser wants to love on you, be with you, and soak up as much attention as you're willing to give her. She is great with other cats and kids, and we suspect she would do well with dogs too.

It's hard not to feel a little sad knowing that Eraser came into rescue with her sister and has now watched her find a home while she continues to wait. But we're determined to make sure Eraser's wait is worth it. This girl deserves someone who will appreciate her big personality, her endless cuddles, her little hand grabs when she wants attention, and her habit of climbing onto your shoulder just because she wants to be as close to you as possible. If you're looking for an affectionate, cuddly, slightly demanding little shoulder cat who will make sure you never forget she's there, Eraser may be exactly who you've been waiting for.

We are SO EXCITED to announce this collaboration. We had a blast this morning coming together with Harbor Perk to kick this off. Can all of you please take the time to check out this coffee online! I wasn’t going to make the post till it stopped coming but it’s STILL coming.
I cannot express how touched we are. This is amazing. This is so so so amazing. To EVERY one of you that’s sent food or litter, please know that you have changed how things went for us in a big way this month and probably for a couple months to come. We can’t tell you in words how appreciative we are. From every one of us, thank you. So much. We love you guys and how much you love these cats ❤️

Ingrid here to remind you we are open today 2-6pm!!!

Meet Ingrid, our adorable little house panther with the sweetest personality and an impressive talent for stealing laps. Ingrid was born sometime between 2023 and 2024 and came to us in a situation that was anything but easy. She arrived with her babies, along with another mama and her litter. All of the cats were very sick, and the kind person who found them had cared for them as long as they could before reaching out for help. So we welcomed them all into our rescue and gave them the care they desperately needed.
Thankfully, Ingrid is now doing so much better, and we're getting to see the sweet, silly girl hiding underneath everything she went through. This girl is incredibly sweet and affectionate. She loves people and wants to be wherever the attention is happening. You can usually find her lounging in the kitchen, either stretched out on the shelves or curled up in one of the fluffy beds, waiting for someone to come by and give her some love. And if you're working in the kitchen, don't expect Ingrid to politely stay out of the way. She will be right there.

Staff and volunteers have quickly learned that Ingrid is a professional attention seeker, biscuit maker, and, most importantly, lap stealer. If you sit down at the table, Ingrid sees an opportunity. She will happily crawl right into your lap, get comfortable, and settle in for a nap while you work. Because apparently, whatever you're doing can wait. Ingrid has decided it's cuddle time. She is also an absolute pro at making biscuits. Once she gets comfortable, those little paws start going and she is perfectly content kneading away while soaking up attention.

Ingrid does wonderfully with other cats and is even sometimes found cuddled up with her feline friends. After being such a devoted mama herself, it seems fitting that she has a soft spot for companionship. We haven't had the opportunity to see how Ingrid does with dogs, but based on her sweet and social personality, we suspect she could do just fine. Ingrid has already been through so much in her young life. She came to us sick, caring for her babies, and in need of someone to give her a chance. Now she's healthy, happy, and ready for the part of her story we've been waiting for. Her forever home.

She doesn't need anything complicated. She wants a cozy bed, some shelves to lounge on, plenty of affection, and most importantly, a person who doesn't mind having a little shadow follow them around. Although let's be honest, Ingrid probably won't be following you for long. She'll just climb into your lap instead. If you're looking for a sweet, goofy, affectionate little house panther who will happily make biscuits on you and nap in your lap while you work, Ingrid is waiting to meet you.
