George Kroeger has achieved the rank of Eagle!

George is joining the ranks of many Eagle Scouts who have come out of this Boy Scout Troop whose beginnings go back to 1910

Please join us for the presentation of the highest rank Scouting has to offer. We will be celebrating George's achievements with a dessert reception after the official presentation.

This will all take place after Troop 34's annual Scout Sunday, beginning at 11:00 am, and a potluck lunch put on by the congregation. You are invited to these as well if your schedule allows.

I have created a facebook event for this Court of Honor. Jessica and I will try to add everyone to that, but just in case we miss anyone I am posting here as well. I plan to be at the meeting on Monday,the 22nd to talk about details.

I will ask Troop 34 people to bring some cookies or chips and salsa for the short reception.Please send me a note if you have any thoughts or questions.

Troop 34 would like to thank Mrs Turri for teaching our Scouts CPR and AED skills last night. We hope to never have to use them, but this definitely is keeping with our motto of "Be Prepared".

Congratulations also goes out to Troop 34 for being 1 of only 13 units out of the 100+ units in Wapashuwi Lodge 56 for achieving the Order of the Arrow Gold Unit of Excellence Award for 2016! The Troop had 3 new Oredeal members and 1 Brotherhood conversion this past year. This was also the last Winter Banquet for the Wapashuwi lodge. The Stigwandish and Tsisgoli Ama chapters are going to be absorbed into the Cuyahoga Lodge due to the merger of GCC and GWRC.

This past weekend at the GCC Wood Badge Breakfast, Scoutmaster Jack Sabo was presented with his Wood Badge Beads for completing his ticket from Course C4-440-16 (Kneeling 2nd from right). He was also selected to be a Troop Guide for Wood Badge Course C4-440-17-1.

Great Job by the boys today on the Conservation Project at Camp Peet. We got two trails opened back up and marked. Plus we cleaned up a very large downed tree at site #1. We made some nice logs to sit on by the fire ring.
