The Agape International Award 2019

One Love International (OLI) is pleased to bestow on Mr Devon Harris and Keep On Pushing Foundation the Agape International Award 2019 for Educational Development and Youth Enhancement.

Harris was born and bred in Olympic Gardens, a violent part of Kingston, Jamaica. However, he did not allow his tough environment to limit him. His positive attitude and never give up but to keep on pushing philosophy has carried him through many tough times in his life. He graduated from the prestigious Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in England and received a Queen's commission in December 1985. Moreover, he served in the Officer Corps of The Jamaica Defence Force until he retired as Captain in December 1992.

Furthermore, Harris is an original member of the 1988 Jamaican Bobsled team and served as captain on two occasions. The 3-time Olympian achieved his dream and is now helping to develop the next generation of bobsledders.

Driven by his conviction and passion for youth development, Harris consequently founded The Keep On Pushing Foundation in 2006, which is a non profit charity focused on helping children in disadvantaged communities receive a quality education. Most of their efforts are focussed on enhancing and uplifting the youth of his homeland Jamaica.

Harris is also a powerful international motivational keynote speaker and has positively impacted and inspired thousands at many Fortune 500 companies, non-profits, governmental organizations, schools and universities.

At the heart of his message are the lessons he has learned on the power of persistence in the presence of numerous obstacles to persevere and live the best life possible. His message is that we can all keep on pushing no matter what to have the most rewarding personal and professional life possible.

Once again, Kudos to Mr Devon Harris and his Keep On Pushing Foundation for their undying commitment to inspiring and uplifting the next generation of youngsters.

Please consider the Keep On Pushing Foundation as part of your holiday giving as we work to complete this sick bay at the Drews Ave Primary School in Jamaica. he building will be able to house two beds where students can rest whenever the fall ill at school. There will also be a small private office where the guidance counsellor will be able to speak to and counsel students with emotional challenges.
