In response to a few questions I've received, I want to let everyone know that the historical building will be open on July 25th, from 8:00 to ??? (at least most of the afternoon). I'm also planning to be at the building this Saturday (June 6th) from 10:00 to 2:00. If you're in the area, please stop by.

Here's an interesting item that was once owned by Mrs. Laura Lichty. Apparently, the owner placed a dime in each slot. When the card was filled, it was given to the Ladies Aid Society of the Lutheran Church in Ursina. This is just one of many items donated to the Turkeyfoot Historical Society by Judy Bowser from her husband, George Bowser's, collection.

From the 1958 Turkeyougha. I remember Mrs. Hutzell coming down to Confluence to the grade school and teaching a music class. I don't remember how often she did this, but I do remember that I loved that class. Anyone else have memories of these teachers?

Today we honor the memory of all who died in service to our country. May they rest in peace.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our building yesterday. The weather was not nice at all, and I think there were only 5 tents set up in the park. Our first two hours were really slow, but then it picked up a lot. At one time, I counted 18 people in our building, and they were oohing and aahing over the items we have on display. I love it when people ask questions! Altogether, I estimate we had about 50 or so people over the course of the day. And some of them spent money on our yard sale, too! I'm looking forward to our next indoor yard sale on June 27.
