to two of our Sisters enjoying a carriage ride at Bishop Bernard McQuaid’s farm on Hemlock Lake in the early 1920s. The Bishop made his property, located in the lovely Finger Lakes region, available to the Sisters for summer relaxation beginning in 1877. The tradition continued under his successor, Bishop Thomas Hickey, until the property was sold to the Society of the Divine Word in 1925.

🌟 Thank You All for an Incredible Day! 🌟

What an unforgettable day we had at the St. Michael's Mission House Centennial Car Show Celebration! Thanks to your overwhelming support, we raised a small portion of our proceeds towards our roof and windows fundraiser for the season, fed nearly 100 people, and had an extraordinary turnout that will be remembered for years to come.

A special shoutout to RIP 585 Auto Society of Rochester, NY, for showing up and showing out in spectacular fashion with an entire fleet of old and new Hearse vehicles packed to the floorboards with Halloween decor and real-life coffins. You truly were the highlight of the event!

Congratulations to all our award winners for Best Antique, Best Custom, Best Muscle, and more. The 50/50 raffle was a huge success, with cash winnings going to a thrilled local lady. The auto detail services basket was awarded to Mike, the leader of the Hearse fleet, for his unwavering compassion and dedication to preserving the historical value of these cars and buildings. Thank you, Mike, for all your hard work!

While we had to postpone the 3D projections of the old statues inside the Rosary Grottos due to the impending rain and wind, we're excited to announce that we will be scheduling another event very soon for the end of summer festivities. Stay tuned for more details and prepare for an overnight adventure coming this Fall 2024!

From our staff at the Mission to our friends and families in Livingston County and the wider Western New York community, a heartfelt and positive thank you is humbly sent your way for making our first event in over 20 years a truly memorable experience.

Friends, family, and neighbors, we are thrilled to welcome you to the St. Michael's Divine Word Mission Seminary Centennial Car Show & BBQ Fundraiser Festival 100th Year Anniversary Celebration! This is not just any event; it is a day filled with history, community spirit, and an incredible lineup of activities that will leave you awe-inspired and uplifted.

From 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM, our beautiful grounds at St. Michael's will be buzzing with excitement. Picture this: a dazzling array of classic cars, muscle cars, hot rods, and cool trucks gleaming in the summer sun. Each vehicle tells a story, and together they form a vibrant tapestry of automotive history right here in Conesus, New York.

But that's not all! We have a fantastic lineup of food and drinks to keep you fueled throughout the day. Start your morning with hot coffee & doughnuts, then indulge in a variety of mouth-watering options like hot dogs, hamburgers, and BBQ pulled beef sandwiches. Quench your thirst with refreshing soda pop, lemonade, and ice-cold water as you wander through the event.

For the kids (and the young at heart), we've set up fun games and activities, including can-jam frisbee golf, bean-bag toss, and more. And as the sun sets, gather around the bonfire for a sing-along that will fill the night with joy and camaraderie. Our laser light show in the grotto, featuring 3D projections of old religious statues, will be a mesmerizing experience you won't want to miss.

The moment we've all been waiting for is finally here! The St. Michael's Divine Word Mission Seminary Centennial Car Show & BBQ Fundraiser Festival is happening this weekend on Sunday June 30th all day, and we are thrilled to invite the community to share in The Mission's nostalgic experience.

We have prepared an unforgettable day filled with:
- **Vintage and Classic Cars**: Expect 25-50 stunning automobiles, including a recently donated all-original 1931 Ford Model A

- **Delicious Food**: Enjoy hotdogs, hamburgers, BBQ pulled beef sandwiches, and refreshments like soda pop & water. Early morning vehicle registrants will also get hot coffee and doughnuts.

- **Exciting Activities**: Fun for the whole family with games like can-jam frisbee golf and volleyball, a laser light show in the Grottos, and a bonfire sing-along.

The Mission historian's 3D test projections for the old religious statues casting their images onto the stone Grotto tunnel walls was a success! We've got a bunch of lasers to add as well as string lightning and solar lights to point up at every window. Next weekend for St. Michael's Divine Word Mission Seminary Centennial Car Show & BBQ Fundraiser Festival on Sunday June 30 is going to be awesome! :)
