Yesterday, our Ag Science I and Ag Science II classes had the opportunity to travel to the Saline County Fairgrounds for the Area VI Leadership Conference!

The day was filled with fun, learning, and an extra special opportunity to collaborate with Area and State FFA Officers. Students had the chance to dive deeper into what FFA means to them, explore where it can take them, and grow as leaders along the way.

A special shoutout to Owen Reid, who proudly represented Concordia as the Area VI Chaplain and helped lead workshops throughout the day. We are also incredibly proud of Morgan Nelson, who is currently serving as a State FFA Vice President!

We are so proud of all of our students and their dedication to leadership, personal growth, and making the most of every opportunity FFA provides. 💙💛

The meal is free and serves as a big thank you from our chapter to everyone who supports us throughout the year. We will begin serving at 4:30 PM and continue until 6:00 PM or until the food runs out.

Enjoy an evening of hamburgers, hot dogs, fresh sides prepared by our officer team, and desserts made by our Food Science class.

Stop by before Homecoming, then head to the game and support our football team as well as our Homecoming King and Queen candidates!

Earlier this week, select upperclassmen FFA members had the opportunity to attend the Ag Ed on the Move training day hosted by Mizzou.

Ag Ed on the Move teaches elementary students where their food comes from and how agriculture impacts their everyday lives while incorporating state learning objectives in science, reading, math, and writing.

Our FFA members received hands on training over all 10 lessons and participated in activities such as making butter from heavy whipping cream and dissecting eggs. We hope to bring this curriculum back to Concordia and our community to help educate elementary students about agriculture.

What a great opportunity for our FFA members to learn, lead, and share agriculture with others!

Your 2026-2027 Concordia FFA Officer Team has been hard at work preparing for the upcoming year!

Over two days of officer training, members focused on team building, chapter goal setting, and planning for the year ahead. Officers worked on chapter projects including updating bulletin boards, developing the Program of Activities, creating the annual chapter calendar, and planting a new cut flower garden for members to learn from this year.

To wrap up training, officers put their communication and teamwork skills to the test in a peanut butter and jelly sandwich challenge. We learned that clear communication is key to avoiding a sticky situation with your team!

We are excited to see all this team will accomplish in the year ahead. Stay tuned for a great year with Concordia FFA!

Last week, eight Concordia FFA members were selected to attend Missouri FFA Camp at Camp Rising Sun in the Lake of the Ozarks.

Throughout the week, students developed their leadership skills by attending leadership sessions, participating in speaking and knowledge contests, and building friendships with FFA members from across Missouri. The week concluded with a fun trip to the Main Street Music Hall.

A special congratulations goes to Paige Getman and Owen Reid for earning their Leadership Pins, a prestigious state award that can only be earned at FFA Camp. Paige earned 1st Place in the Conservation SAE Interview and 3rd Place in Impromptu Speaking. Owen earned 1st Place in both the Single Co****le Tournament and the Tetherball Tournament. Owen was also elected to serve as the Camp Reporter for week 2.

We are incredibly proud of all of our students for stepping outside of their comfort zones, trying new experiences, and representing Concordia FFA so well throughout the week!

Last week, two Concordia FFA members were selected to attend the Missouri FFA Public Speaking Academy. During the three-day event, students researched and prepared speeches on agricultural topics of their choice. Reagan and Karrah both competed in the Advanced Speech division, which requires a 6–8 minute speech.

Throughout the academy, students worked with Missouri FFA State Officers, learned from UCM communication professors, and developed their public speaking and evaluation skills. They even had the opportunity to enjoy some time at the bowling alley!

We are incredibly proud of Reagan and Karrah for their hard work, dedication, and outstanding representation of Concordia FFA. Congratulations on a job well done!
