The Concordia FFA officer team had a busy week attending two leadership training conferences!

Last Tuesday, officers joined the Area VI officer team at the Marshall Fairgrounds to learn more about communication and their officer responsibilities. On Friday, they traveled to State Fair Community College to work with retired state officers on leadership development, event planning, and team building.

We are proud of these students for investing in their leadership skills and representing Concordia FFA well. We look forward to continuing our officer training later this summer!

Last week, top leadership point earning students had the opportunity to attend our annual chapter points trip. Students work to earn leadership points throughout the year by attending various FFA events. This year, students had the opportunity to visit the Kansas City zoo. We ended our day with a lunch stop at our chapter favorite, Cracker Barrel.

Last Wednesday, two of our members were recognized for their outstanding achievements in our state organization.

Morgan Nelson was recognized for her induction as a Missouri State FFA Vice President. Over the next year, she will travel across the state serving members and chapters while also helping plan and facilitate the Missouri FFA State Convention.

Ryan Freund was also recognized for earning first place at state in the Placement Dairy Production Proficiency area. This award required four years of quality record keeping, dedication, and hard work. Ryan documented his day to day duties and responsibilities and completed a comprehensive application process to earn this recognition.

We are incredibly proud of both students and their dedication to our state organization and the agriculture industry.

Your Concordia FFA members are working at the Spring Showcase Tractor Show hosted by Ag Powers in Higginsville.

Interested in stopping by this morning? We’ll have fresh hotdogs ready to serve and plenty of tractors to view!

Day 3 of State FFA Convention was a success! We attended two sessions and heard from a variety of keynote speakers, along with retiring state officer addresses.

During Session Four, Morgan Nelson was officially inducted as a Missouri State FFA Officer. She will spend the next year traveling the state, connecting with members, and serving as a leader and integral part of the state officer team. We could not be more proud of her and wish her the best during her year of service.

In Session Five, we celebrated four of our senior members as they received the highest degree our state organization can award, the State Degree. Congratulations to Morgan Nelson, Madison Mouton, Nichole Estes, and Ryan Freund for this incredible accomplishment.

We are excited to see them continue their journey as they pursue the highest degree the organization can offer, the American Degree. Congratulations to all, we couldn’t be prouder!

Day #2 of State Convention was filled to the brim with excitement!

Today, students had the opportunity to attend sessions and hear from keynote speakers. Morgan Nelson was officially introduced as a 2026–2027 State Vice President during the business session. Members Rawnie and Taylor proudly represented our chapter as delegates. And our Dairy Cattle team competed at state and brought home a silver team score! Great work team!

Ryan Fruend walked across the stage as a state finalist for the Dairy Production Placement Proficiency Award. We are proud to share that Ryan earned first place and will advance to the next level with his proficiency area.

We ended our night with a celebratory dinner at Texas Roadhouse. What a great day to be a Concordia FFA member!

Day #1 of Missouri State FFA Convention complete!

Today was a full and exciting day for our students! They kicked things off with a police es**rt through town as they headed to Columbia. Once there, they explored Rock Bridge Memorial State Park and got to see the incredible natural rock bridges.

They also spent time giving back by volunteering with Courtesy Corps where they helped run the Parliamentary Procedure and Conduct of Chapter Meeting finals. We wrapped up the day with dinner and some friendly competition playing pickleball and co****le. A great mix of learning, service, and fun!
