Thanks to a grant from the Community Foundation for Cloud County, children in Cloud County now have access to an iPad, protective case, and communication apps that are helping them build vital communication and social skills.

These tools are already making a difference at home and in the classroom. They’re also strengthening collaboration between the USD333/LCNCK and OCCK/Infant Toddler programs, allowing resources to be shared and helping children transition more smoothly between programs.

In small communities, sharing resources matters. Every child deserves the opportunity to communicate, connect, and thrive, and CFCC is proud to help make this happen!

With heavy hearts we share the passing of Lorene Steimel, a devoted and loyal supporter of the Community Foundation for Cloud County, for many many years.

Lorene carried forward the vision that her late husband, Bob, began in 2002, helping grow and strengthen the foundation to the success it is today. She served faithfully on the board and as secretary for many of those years, always offering her time, care, and steady leadership.

Beyond her work with the foundation, Lorene was deeply involved in the community she loved. Her generosity and commitment made a lasting difference, and her impact will continue to be felt for years to come.

We are grateful for her life, her service, and the legacy she leaves behind.

Stuffing more than 20,000 Easter eggs sounds like a big job! But with people from five local churches working together, it only took about two hours.

Members from Concordia Wesleyan, Fellowship Christian, Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic, CrossPoint, and Victory Faith came together last week and had a great time making sure every egg was filled with candy and treats. With support from a Community Foundation for Cloud County grant, these churches shared their time, talent, and resources to help make this year’s Easter Egg Event another success.

Since 2003, the event has grown into a true community tradition for kids from infants through 6th grade.

Make plans to be at Concordia City Park before 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 28. After the egg hunt, families can enjoy inflatables, train rides, carnival games, Gaga Ball, popcorn, lemonade, prizes, and a petting zoo.

And best of all, it’s completely free!
