Not every grant makes for a glamorous photo… especially when it involves sewage! 😂💩

The Community Foundation for Cloud County is excited to award a grant to the Cloud County Fair Board to help with the replacement of their fairgrounds sewage pump, which is a very important (but not very photogenic!) improvement for the fairgrounds.

Since pictures of sewage pumps are, well… pretty gross, we decided to share two much better pictures of the people who are making things work out! 😊Those individuals who are pictured are Jim Wilson, Amanda Hacker, K’Lynn Barr, Danny McReynolds, Lisa Mosher and Leann Demars.

We’re grateful for the Cloud County Fair Board and their hard work keeping our fairgrounds running and ready for our community.

CFCC is proud to invest in projects that make a difference, even the ones that aren’t pretty! 🚽😂

A big thank you to our Downtown Beautification Committee for the many years of hard work they have put into making downtown Concordia beautiful!

Marsha Wentz & Tammy Britt, along with Bill Britt, who couldn’t be in the picture, spend countless hours planting, watering, and caring for the flowers in our downtown planters. It’s hot, hard
work, and they do it because they care about our community.

The Community Foundation for Cloud County is proud to provide grant funding to help support the purchase of flowers and supplies needed for this ongoing beautification effort.

Their work makes a visible difference, creating a more welcoming and vibrant downtown for residents, businesses, and visitors to enjoy.

We love seeing CFCC dollars at work, supporting the people and projects that make Cloud County a better place to live, work, and visit!

We’re excited to invest in our students and help make Cloud County an even better place to live and learn! 🎓

The Community Foundation for Cloud County is proud to award a $1,500 grant to Concordia Middle School (USD 333 Concordia Schools) to provide 6th graders with engaging STEM activities to use during study hall.

These hands-on opportunities will encourage creativity, critical thinking, problem-solving, teamwork, and collaboration for 80–100 students.

We love seeing CFCC dollars at work—helping students grow today while building a stronger community for tomorrow! 💙

The Cloud County Fair 4-H Livestock Auction is always one of our favorite traditions! Congratulations to all of the 4-H members whose hard work, dedication, and countless hours of caring for their projects were on display. Your efforts are something to be proud of.

Brenda Gilliland with the Community Foundation for Cloud County, along with Phil Gilliland and Vikki Jochems from The Citizens National Bank, were proud to serve as volunteer clerks for the auction.

They have been honored to fill this role together for many years, helping make this special event a success.

Thank you to our 4-H families, buyers, volunteers, and everyone who supports our youth. Investing in young people is one of the best investments we can make in the future of Cloud County!

NEW FUND FRIDAY!!

The O'Connor Animal Shelter Fund was established through the generosity of an anonymous donor to support the shelter's efforts to spay and neuter animals and provide pet food and other essential supplies.

If you have a passion for helping animals, help the fund reach its $10,000 goal by contacting Brenda Gilliland at 785-243-1008 or make a donation by visiting communityfoundationforcloudcounty.org.

Donations made during our match month in November will include a partial match from the Patterson Family Foundation.

We appreciate all of our CFCC board members, but today we want to give a special thanks to Monte Wentz for his eight years of dedicated service to the Community Foundation for Cloud County, most of which as Board Chairman.

Monte's thoughtful leadership, attention to detail, and unwavering commitment to improving our communities have helped strengthen the foundation and advance our mission. His steady guidance and heart for service have made a lasting impact on Cloud County.
