🏨🎀 Behind the Ribbon: Comfort Inn & Suites Concord

The Cabarrus Chamber recently celebrated Comfort Inn & Suites with a ribbon cutting, welcoming the hotel to the Cabarrus business community!

The celebration featured remarks from Concord Mayor Steve Morris, followed by light refreshments, hotel tours, and giveaways. 💎 Chamber Member Spotlight: Ellis Jewelers

For 73 years, Ellis Jewelers has called 29 Union Street South in Downtown Concord home and that milestone is a story of family, community, and generations of memories. 💍

Founded in 1953 by Ellis Levison, the family-owned jeweler has built its legacy on honesty, integrity, personal relationships, and a commitment to giving back. Over the years, Ellis Jewelers has supported local organizations, encouraged young creatives through jewelry design contests, and championed shopping small.

From engagements and weddings to birthdays, anniversaries, and family heirlooms, Ellis Jewelers has been part of countless Cabarrus County milestones.

Now, the family is celebrating 73 years by saying thank you to the community that made it possible.

The Cabarrus Chamber recently celebrated the grand opening and welcome back celebration of Another Broken Egg Cafe in Concord with a ribbon cutting!

🌟 Introducing the Leadership Cabarrus Class of 2027! 🌟

We’re excited to welcome the newest class of Leadership Cabarrus! After a highly competitive application process, 36 leaders representing a diverse range of Cabarrus County businesses and organizations have been selected to participate in the 2026–2027 program.

The goal of Leadership Cabarrus is to connect leaders with one another and collaborative resources while building a deeper understanding of Cabarrus County’s strengths and opportunities. Through the program, participants are encouraged to become advocates and long-term community leaders.

📚 The class will kick off with a retreat next week before meeting monthly through May to learn more about different aspects of our community. Along the way, they’ll work together, and with community partners, on a legacy project designed to make a lasting impact in Cabarrus County.

We’re looking forward to following this group throughout their Leadership Cabarrus journey and seeing what they accomplish together!

🤝 Sometimes, one conversation can open the door to something bigger.

Earlier this week, local small business owner Ezra spoke during the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners meeting to share his experience connecting with the Cabarrus Chamber.

A few months ago, Ezra attended a commissioners meeting and asked what resources were available to help support small businesses in Cabarrus County. As he was leaving the building, he had an unexpected conversation with one of the commissioners who asked about his business, took his information, and told him someone from Cabarrus Economic Development would be in touch.

That connection with Cabarrus EDC led Ezra to the Chamber, and since then, he’s had the opportunity to begin his Chamber membership, meet other Cabarrus Chamber members, attend networking events with local business owners, and make new business connections.

Ezra returned to the Commissioners meeting simply to say thank you for making the connection.

This is what a strong business community can look like: one organization making a connection, one introduction leading to another, and a small business owner finding new opportunities to grow.

We are grateful Ezra shared his story and proud to play a part in connecting Cabarrus County businesses with the people and resources that can help them succeed.
