This past weekend we had the great honor of hosting two of our alumni’s Eagle Scout Court of Honor at our build space. Aidan Boucher (‘21) created beautiful work benches for our team and Joseph Sedutto (‘20) restored a lathe for our team to machine parts with. We are so incredibly proud of them and we can’t wait to see what these two do in the future!

In the year 1983, Concord High School had a new social studies teacher. At the time, our school had no idea that she would be part of the Space Shuttle Challenger mission. Christa McAuliffe was beloved by all of her students as well as her fellow colleagues. In 2019, in a way of honoring her and the crew of the Challenger, and in light of DESTINATION: Deep Space, our team bought and sewed Challenger mission patches onto our team t-shirts, wearing them proudly at competition. During the same year, we also got an artist to create a poster of McAuliffe to raise awareness for women in STEM. Today, on the anniversary of the Challenger disaster, we would like to thank Christa McAuliffe, as well as the other crew members, for their inspiration to the next generation of innovators.
