🏈 GOOD EVENING, CAPITOLS FAMILIES! 🏈

What an exciting and exhausting week and weekend!

We had Picture Day, our 7th & 8th grade team wrapped up its first two weeks of practice, and our 3rd/4th/5th grade and 5th/6th grade teams completed their third week of practice and took part in their first jamboree of the season!

It was AWESOME to finally see our younger teams take the field against another program! Our athletes have been working extremely hard, learning plays, blocking, tackling, and all the skills needed to play football. Seeing that hard work come together at the jamboree was something special. πŸ‘πŸˆ

If you took pictures at the jamboree, please send them our way! We love showing off our athletes and sharing their accomplishments on our social media. The more pictures, the better! πŸ“Έ

🏈 REGULAR SEASON IS HERE!

With the jamboree complete, preseason is officially over!

Our first games are just TWO WEEKS AWAY, when we travel to Plymouth to open the regular season!

Our practice schedule now changes slightly:

3rd, 4th, 5th & 6th Grade
πŸ”΄ Monday β€” 5:30–7:30 PM
πŸ”΄ Tuesday β€” 5:30–7:30 PM
πŸ”΄ Thursday β€” 5:30–7:30 PM

7th & 8th Grade
πŸ”΄ Monday β€” 5:30–7:30 PM
πŸ”΄ Tuesday β€” 5:30–7:30 PM
πŸ”΄ Thursday β€” 5:30–7:30 PM
πŸ”΄ Friday β€” 5:30–6:30 PM Walkthrough

There will NOT be a walkthrough this Friday, September 4th, because we do not have a game this weekend. Weekly walkthroughs will begin next week.

πŸͺ– EQUIPMENT REMINDER

For our 3rd–6th graders, if your athlete participated in this weekend's jamboree, they have completed the required conditioning and equipment-acclimation hours and are now cleared with no equipment or contact limitations.

They should wear full equipment to practice unless their coaches tell them otherwise.

If your athlete did not participate in the jamboree and has missed significant practice time, please follow the equipment progression below:

7th & 8th Grade
βœ… Attended both weeks of preseason β€” No limitations
βœ… Attended only one week β€” Full equipment with limited contact for one additional practice
βœ… Missed more than one week + two additional practices β€” Helmet, shoulder pads, Guardian Cap & practice jersey
βœ… Only attended one practice or just joining β€” Helmet, Guardian Cap & practice jersey

If you aren't sure where your athlete falls, please reach out!

πŸ“ REGISTRATION IS STILL OPEN!

We are still welcoming new athletes into the program!

As we get back into school, we usually see a few more kids become interested in football after seeing their friends having fun and encouraging them to come out.

If you know someone who wants to play, send them our way!

We actually had another athlete register today, so we are continuing to grow! Thank you all for helping make that happen!

πŸ’° FUNDRAISING CONTINUES!

Our fundraising efforts are still underway!

Please continue reaching out to family, friends, and anyone who may be willing to support our program. Every dollar raised goes directly back into the program to help us provide equipment, resources, and opportunities for our athletes.

Thank you to everyone who has already been working hard to support the Capitols! ❀️

πŸ“š SCHOOL & FOOTBALL

With school starting back up, we want to remind our athletes that being a Capitols athlete means more than what happens on the football field.

We expect our players to represent themselves, their families, their school, and the Concord Capitols in a positive way.

We want our athletes to be great football players, but more importantly, we want them to be great young people, students, teammates, and role models.

The effort and discipline they show on the football field should also be present in the classroom and throughout the community.

Parents, thank you for helping us reinforce that message at home!

πŸ”΄βšͺ BUILT BY TRADITION. DRIVEN BY LEGACY. πŸ”΄βšͺ

The Concord Capitols have a rich history of being one of the premier youth football programs in the Capital Area and throughout the state.

We are continuing to build on the tradition established by the great teams, coaches, and athletes who came before us, while being driven by the legacy they left behind.

Thank you for being part of this organization and helping us build the next chapter of Concord Capitols Football.

We have come a long way, but we are just getting started! πŸ’ͺ🏈

LET'S HAVE A GREAT REGULAR SEASON!

🏈 Good Evening, Capitols Families! 🏈

It was great seeing almost everyone at Picture Day today! We are now just one sleep away from our first jamboree of the season!

Here is some important information for tomorrow:

πŸ“ Laconia High School
345 Union Ave
Laconia, NH 03246

⏰ Arrival: Please have your athlete there by 8:00–8:15 AM at the latest.

When you arrive, please drop your athlete off at the field next to the parking lot before entering the stadium. The area is marked β€œTeam Warm-up Area” in the photo sent through email. Coaches will be there to receive your athlete.

Once the scrimmages begin, we will follow the schedule sent through email. The older athletes will play first, followed by the younger athletes, and we will continue that pattern throughout much of the day. Our teams will stay together for most of the jamboree. Parents can watch from the stands. When we move to the upper fields, there will be plenty of room around the fields to watch. Please don't encourage your athlete to come over to you during the scrimmages. We want them watching and supporting their teammates when they aren't on the field. Coaches will be rotating players throughout the day, so athletes need to stay with their coaches and be ready when their number is called.

πŸ“’ Important Reminders from Laconia Youth Football
πŸ” A full concession stand will be available.
🚫 No grills are allowed on school grounds.
🚭 No smoking is allowed on school grounds.
🚫Parents are not allowed on the turf fields or any playing field. Only players and coaches are permitted on the turf.

πŸš— Parking

Parking is expected to be very busy, with approximately 11 teams attending.

⚠️ DO NOT PARK AT AUTOZONE. Laconia has specifically informed us that vehicles parked there for the jamboree will be towed.

The Community Center across the street from the gas station and high school should also have additional parking available.

πŸ”΄βšͺ LET'S GO CAPITOLS! 🏈

Tomorrow is a big day for our athletes. They have worked extremely hard over the past several weeks learning the game, getting comfortable in their equipment, and developing their football skills.

Now they get their first opportunity to take what they've learned and compete against another team in a controlled environment.

Let's make sure our athletes hear us cheering, encouraging, and supporting them and their teammates! πŸ“£

I'm excited to see our players take the field and show everyone around the state that Concord Capitols Football is back on the map!

See everyone tomorrow! πŸˆπŸ”΄βšͺ

🏈 CAPITOLS WEEKLY UPDATE – FINAL WEEK OF PRESEASON! 🏈

Good Evening, Capitols Families!

I hope everyone had a wonderful and relaxing weekend! We have another busy week ahead as we get ready for the start of the regular season.

This past week was a great week for the Capitols. Seeing all of our teams practicing together at Martin Field was an awesome sight!

Our 3rd–6th graders wrapped up their second week of practice and their first week of full contact. The athletes worked extremely hard as they adjusted to wearing all of their equipment while continuing to learn proper tackling, blocking, and football fundamentals.

Our 7th & 8th graders also completed their first week. They worked hard getting to know each other, building the connections they will need on the field, and continuing to develop their skills while getting comfortable in their equipment.

Now, on to this week's updates!

🏈 FINAL WEEK OF PRESEASON

This is the final week of our preseason schedule. Once school begins the week of August 31st, we will adjust our practice schedule.

This week's schedule:

πŸ“… Monday – 5:30–8:00 PM
πŸ“… Tuesday – 5:30–8:00 PM
πŸ“… Thursday – 5:30–8:00 PM
πŸ“… Friday – 5:30–8:00 PM

πŸ“ Martin Field

πŸͺ– EQUIPMENT REMINDER

3rd–6th Grade

If your athlete has attended all 8 practices, they should wear full equipment.

If they have missed 3 of the 8 practices, they should still come in full equipment, but their contact will be limited.

If they have missed 4–5 practices, they should wear:

Helmet
Guardian Cap
Shoulder pads
Practice jersey

If they have missed 6 or more practices, they should wear:

Helmet
Guardian Cap
Practice jersey

7th–8th Grade

If your athlete attended all practices last week, they should wear full pads. We will still be doing primarily bags and shields with limited player contact. Tuesday will be a full-contact practice.

If they missed 1 practice last week, they should wear:

Helmet
Guardian Cap
Shoulder pads
Practice jersey

If they missed 2 or more practices, they should wear:

Helmet
Guardian Cap
Practice jersey

🏈 ALL ATHLETES SHOULD HAVE A MOUTHPIECE AT EVERY PRACTICE.

If your athlete is going to miss practice, please let us know. As we always say, availability is extremely important. Every player will see the field, but as coaches begin putting players into positions and developing game plans, they have to account for player availability.

We understand that life happens, but please make every effort to have your athlete at practice.

πŸ‘• GAME JERSEY HANDOUT

We will be handing out game uniforms this week!

Once your athlete receives their uniform, your family is responsible for keeping it clean and properly maintained throughout the season.

We have attached a uniform maintenance guide to the email version of this update. While we do not use Riddell uniforms, their guide provides some great information on properly washing and caring for football uniforms.

πŸ‘₯ TEAM PARENT VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

We are still looking for Team Parent volunteers for two teams:

πŸ”΄ 3rd/4th/5th Grade Team
πŸ”΄ 5th/6th Grade Team

I know several people expressed interest during equipment handout. If you are still interested in helping, please reach out to me!

The Team Parent will help with communication between coaches and families and assist with some of the logistics surrounding game days.

If you previously expressed interest, please reach out again so I can make sure I have everyone accounted for.

🏈 3RD–6TH GRADE JAMBOREE – SUNDAY, AUGUST 30

Our 3rd–6th grade teams will participate in the season-opening jamboree this Sunday in Laconia!

πŸ“… Sunday, August 30
⏰ Jamboree begins at 9:00 AM
πŸ“ Laconia

Please plan to have your athlete at the field between 8:00–8:15 AM so we have plenty of time to get everyone organized and warmed up.

All of our 3rd–6th grade athletes will warm up together before separating for their respective scrimmages.

Players will be informed this week whether they will participate in the 5th/6th grade scrimmages or the 3rd/4th/5th grade scrimmages.

This is a great opportunity for our athletes to finally put everything they've been working on into action against another team in a controlled environment!

πŸ’° FUNDRAISING

We are now entering the second week of fundraising!

Please continue doing your best to raise money for the program. Fundraising is a huge part of how we are able to keep registration costs as low as possible while continuing to purchase equipment and provide our athletes with the best possible experience.

Every dollar raised goes directly back into the program and helps us continue to grow!

🏈 STILL WANT TO PLAY?

If you know someone who has shown interest in playing football but hasn't signed up yet, send them our way!

We will continue accepting players on all of our teams.

As we head back to school, we usually see a few more athletes decide they want to give football a try after seeing how much fun their friends are having.

If you know someone who is interested, encourage them to register and come join you on the field!

πŸ‘‰ www.concordcapitolsfootball.org

The more athletes we have, the stronger our program becomes!

As always, I greatly appreciate every one of you for being part of the Concord Capitols family and for helping us continue to rebuild this program and bring Concord Capitols Football back to its place as one of the premier youth football programs in the state.

We have come a long way, but we still have a lot of work ahead of us. I'm incredibly excited about what this group can accomplish this season!

Thank you to all of our athletes, coaches, volunteers, and families for everything you do.

Let's keep building! πŸ’ͺ🏈

🏈 CAPITOLS WEEK 2 UPDATE! 🏈

Good Morning, Capitols Families!

What an awesome first week! Our 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th graders worked extremely hard last week, and it was great watching them improve each day as they learned new skills and progressed through our preseason.

Now it's time for Week 2 β€” and today our 7th & 8th graders officially join us! πŸŽ‰

This will be the first time all of our Capitols athletes will be on the field together, and we couldn't be more excited!

🏈 THIS WEEK'S PRACTICE SCHEDULE

All Grades:
πŸ“… Monday – 5:30–8:00 PM
πŸ“… Tuesday – 5:30–8:00 PM
πŸ“… Thursday – 5:30–8:00 PM
πŸ“… Friday – 5:30–8:00 PM

πŸ“ Martin Field

πŸͺ– EQUIPMENT REMINDER

7th & 8th Grade:
Since today is their first practice, they should have:

Helmet
Guardian Cap
Practice Jersey
Mouthpiece

3rd–6th Grade:
Please pay attention to your athlete's progression based on how many practices they attended last week.

If they attended all four practices, they should have their full practice equipment, including helmet, Guardian Cap, shoulder pads, practice jersey, practice pants with pads, mouthpiece, and girdle if needed.

If they attended 2–3 practices, they should wear their helmet, Guardian Cap, shoulder pads, practice jersey, and mouthpiece.

If they attended 0–1 practice, they should wear their helmet, Guardian Cap, practice jersey, and mouthpiece.

We are gradually progressing our athletes through their equipment and contact levels to make sure they are properly prepared and comfortable before moving forward.

πŸ’§ WEATHER & WATER

Today is expected to be warm and humid, so please make sure your athlete brings PLENTY OF WATER!

There is also a chance of rain. We practice in the rain! The only reasons we would cancel are if there is thunder/lightning in the area or the City closes the fields.

If we need to cancel, we will notify everyone through email and our social media pages.

πŸ“ MEDICAL FORMS

If your athlete is starting practice today and we still do not have their completed Medical Clearance Form, please bring it to the field or email it to us.

Athletes cannot participate without a completed medical form on file.

🏈 SEASON-OPENING JAMBOREE – AUGUST 30

Our 3rd–6th grade teams have once again been invited to participate in the season-opening jamboree!

πŸ“… Sunday, August 30th
πŸ“ Laconia

The jamboree is expected to run approximately 9:00 AM–2:30 PM, with our teams playing several controlled half-game scrimmages.

This is a great opportunity for our athletes to get their first experience going against another team in a controlled learning environment.

We had a great time at the jamboree last year, and we're excited to see our teams get out there again! More information will be provided as we receive it.

πŸ’° FUNDRAISING STARTS TONIGHT!

We are also kicking off our fundraising efforts tonight with Vertical Raise!

Their fundraising coordinator will be at the field at the beginning of practice to help us get started. The athletes will also be making a short promotional video that can be shared with family and friends.

Please do your best to arrive on time tonight so the athletes can participate.

Fundraising is extremely important to our program. Running a football program is expensive, and we work hard to keep registration costs as reasonable as possible while still providing our athletes with the equipment and safe environment they deserve.

Every bit of support helps! ❀️

🏈 STILL WANT TO PLAY?

Registration is still OPEN!

If you know someone who wants to play football, send them our way! We will continue accepting players who are interested in joining the Capitols.

πŸ‘‰ Register Here: www.concordcapitolsfootball.org

Thank you to all of our families, athletes, and coaches for everything you have done to get us to this point.

We are just getting started, and I can't wait to see where this group goes this season!
