🗓️ Save the Date! Join Us for NH Gives on June 9–10!

Every single day, nonprofits across our state step up to meet growing needs, strengthen our communities, and care for our neighbors. This year, The Bravery Alliance is on a mission to raise $2,500 to fund our Care Bag Project.

With your generosity, we can provide care bags containing sweatshirts, sweatpants, snacks, and personal items to the patients who are seen in the Emergency Department for sexual assault, making a truly meaningful difference all across New Hampshire.

🔹 Double Your Impact Through June 30th! 🔹
An incredible donor from the Concord community has stepped up to match your donations dollar-for-dollar! While the official NH Gives event is a fast-paced 24-hour window, all funds raised through our link will be matched until June 30th. That means your gift goes twice as far to support survivors for the entire month!

We are so proud to spotlight Tilton School senior Mattalynn, who recently stepped up in a massive way for our community.

Mattalynn organized a donation drive that successfully raised over $300 worth of clothing items for the The Bravery Alliance! These donations will go directly into care bags, providing comfort and support to those who need it most.

It’s inspiring to see our students taking the lead and turning compassion into action. A heap of gratitude to Mattalynn for her leadership and to everyone who contributed to help make this possible!

Way to go, Matty! 💪

Too often, we underestimate the power of the smallest act of caring. When someone discloses an experience of sexual violence, the first conversation they have is critical. It can set the tone for their entire healing journey.
This April, during the 25th anniversary of Sexual Assault Awareness Month, we want to turn awareness into action by sharing practical ways to offer support.

Being an ally doesn’t require special training; it just requires empathy. As the graphic shows, a few small shifts in your language can have a big impact:

🩵 VALIDATE: Replace questions that imply doubt with the powerful phrase, “I believe you.” Your belief is their foundation for healing.

🩵 EMPOWER: Shift from giving advice to offering support. Replace “You should…” with “How can I support you right now?”

🩵 COMFORT: Replace empty clichés with your simple, validating presence. Let them know, “I am so sorry. You are not alone.”

Help us build a stronger community of bravery here in New Hampshire. Let’s make sure every survivor is met with dignity and care.
