The march begins at 745 Cabarrus Avenue West in Concord and ends at the Cabarrus EMS headquarters located at 793 Cabarrus Avenue West in Concord.

What a weekend of community impact! The ladies of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® Lambda Upsilon Omega Chapter spent two days doing what we love—serving, connecting, and showing up for our community.

On Friday, we joined Cabarrus County Human Services Agency – DSS Division and Cabarrus County EMS for the Healthy Cabarrus Together - Community Health Fair. Lambda Upsilon Omega Chapter distributed 300 resources, including 150 supply bags, snacks, and personal hygiene packs to families in our community.

On Saturday, we continued serving at the Barber-Scotia College Alumni Sneaker and Bookbag Giveaway.  LUO distributed 785 resources that included 450 book bags filled with school supplies, 125 hygiene packs, 75 children’s books, 35 educational activity boxes and snacks to help students start the school year ready and confident.

Our service did not stop there! LUO also supported TIRO Education Enrichment Program by making a donation to further their work with children and families.

Two days of service. 1,085 resources distributed throughout our community!

A heartfelt THANK YOU to Cabarrus County Consolidated Human Services Agency – DSS Division, Cabarrus County EMS, Barber-Scotia College Alumni, and all the vendors who served alongside us. Community impact is stronger when we work together!
