⭐ Today, we’re shining a light on Cooperative Christian Ministry (CCM) and sharing our gratitude for the incredible work they do to strengthen our community.

Last week, CCM hosted the Cabarrus County Nonprofit Workshop, bringing local nonprofit leaders together for a day of learning, connection, and professional development. We’re especially thankful for the opportunity to serve as the Presenting Sponsor and for CCM inviting our own Jenn Delaney to lead sessions focused on capacity building. 🤝📚

Thank you, Cabarrus County. 🙏

As of 11:59 PM last night, applications for the 2026 Greater Cabarrus Foundation grant cycle are officially closed. A total of 49 organizations submitted grant requests for both programs - each one representing people working to make our community stronger.

Now the work of review begins. Over the coming weeks, our team and volunteer reviewers will carefully consider every application, with funding decisions announced in November-December.

To every nonprofit that applied: thank you for the work you do across Cabarrus County, every day of the year!

Collaboration is one of the strongest resources a nonprofit community can have.

Today, nonprofit professionals from across Cabarrus County came together for Cooperative Christian Ministry’s annual Cabarrus County Nonprofit Workshop, and the Greater Cabarrus Foundation was proud to once again serve as the Presenting Sponsor.

The workshop created valuable opportunities for nonprofit leaders, staff, board members, and community partners to connect, exchange ideas, learn from one another, and explore resources that can help strengthen their organizations. While every nonprofit serves a unique mission, events like this reinforce how interconnected our work truly is.

We were also proud to have Jenn Delaney, Director of Capacity Building Services, lead sessions focused on Building a Stronger Nonprofit and share practical insight with nonprofit professionals from across the county.

A strong nonprofit sector is built through more than individual organizations doing good work. It is built through collaboration, knowledge-sharing, professional relationships, and a willingness to help one another succeed.

🏥 For more than 30 years, The Community Free Clinic of Cabarrus County has been a lifeline for uninsured adults in Cabarrus County.

Since 1994, the clinic has provided free primary care, chronic disease management, medications, diagnostic testing, and specialty referrals to adults who have nowhere else to turn.

Through Cabarrus Spark, we're helping strengthen the organization behind this life-changing work.

Congratulations to Jenn Delaney, Director of Capacity Building Services, for being selected to participate in the Chamber's Leadership Cabarrus, Class of 2027! 👏👏

🌟 Introducing the Leadership Cabarrus Class of 2027! 🌟

We’re excited to welcome the newest class of Leadership Cabarrus! After a highly competitive application process, 36 leaders representing a diverse range of Cabarrus County businesses and organizations have been selected to participate in the 2026–2027 program.

The goal of Leadership Cabarrus is to connect leaders with one another and collaborative resources while building a deeper understanding of Cabarrus County’s strengths and opportunities. Through the program, participants are encouraged to become advocates and long-term community leaders.

📚 The class will kick off with a retreat next week before meeting monthly through May to learn more about different aspects of our community. Along the way, they’ll work together, and with community partners, on a legacy project designed to make a lasting impact in Cabarrus County.

We’re looking forward to following this group throughout their Leadership Cabarrus journey and seeing what they accomplish together!
