💙 A BIG THANK YOU FROM 1CAN! 🥫✨

We are incredibly grateful to the Gene Haas Foundation for supporting 1CAN through a generous community grant focused on food security and local outreach!

This support will make a BIG difference for our neighbors served through Cabarrus Meals on Wheels. 🍎🚗

Because of this grant, 1CAN will now be able to provide 400 supplemental snack bags every month to Cabarrus Meals on Wheels clients, a significant increase from the 200 bags we were previously able to provide.

❤️ That means more older adults will have access to additional food and snacks between their delivered meals.

400 bags. Every month. More food. More support. More neighbors reached.

We are so thankful to the Gene Haas Foundation for believing in our mission and helping us turn community support into real impact right here in Cabarrus County.

THE BUSINESS CAN SCULPTURE COMPETITION IS COMING — AND WE’RE CALLING ON CABARRUS COUNTY BUSINESSES TO BRING THEIR A-GAME! 🏆

Got a creative team? A little friendly competition? A whole lot of cans? Then 1CAN wants YOU! 👀

We’re challenging local businesses to turn nonperishable food into an incredible sculpture that represents your business, your brand, your industry or your team’s wildest idea!

💡 Think BIG. Think creative. Think… CANS.

And here’s the best part: There is NO fee to enter! 🎉

Your team provides the food, builds your masterpiece, and after the competition, all usable food from your sculpture will be donated to 1CAN to help stock local Blessing Boxes. 🥫💙

🏆 THEN THE COMMUNITY DECIDES!

You build it. We display it. Cabarrus County votes! 🗳️

The winning sculpture will earn the title of Cabarrus Community Champion AND take home the trophy! 🏆

1CAN loves having McGill Baptist Church Youth come by. This evening they brought us blessing bags made during their VBS and filled by their youth. They also worked completing various tasks needed at our new location. This partnership is such a blessing !

Today was a very productive day! A wonderful young man named Kevin referred to us through Opportunity HS came to fulfill his community service hours. Kevin worked extremely hard and got so much done. 1CAN volunteers Kathleen, AJ, Amora and Lynn also came and cleaned and organized. Then the Bryant family loaded up and delivered what was left in Kannapolis. 1CAN is blessed with a wonderful family of volunteers.

Yesterday a group of 1CAN volunteers came together to move our operations from the 2 garages in Kannapolis we have run out of for the past 2 years to our new facility in downtown concord.
Food was packed with care then unpacked and organized in our new home. Yes still lots to do but we have time and things we change as we start operating and find ways to improve the set up.
This Saturday 9/29 starting at 11am until 4pm we will be there cleaning and setting up if you are moved to stop by and assist for any amount of time please do. 80 Spring St Sw Concord

Another successful food drive thanks to the generous walmart shoppers who donated 614lbs of food today.
Huge Thank you to all the volunteers who served at our food drive and also those that served at our pack event. We could make the impact we do without the community support and our volunteers.
