A couple months ago the Concord Quaker Meeting established a fund to help immigrants needing legal help and for their families who are economically impacted by actions taken by governmental enforcement agencies and the fear arising from these actions. We have raised and disbursed $6,000, working with the NH Immigrant Rights Network and other immigrant aid groups. We are holding a large Yard Sale on Saturday, July 18 from 7:30am-1:30pm at the Quaker Meetinghouse, 11 Oxbow Pond Rd Canterbury (Near Exit 17 of I-93, off the Market Basket traffic circle).

Here's how you can help:
• Bring donations of clean, working, useful items on July 15, 16, and 17 from 3:30-6:30pm to the Meetinghouse.
• Shop at the Yard Sale from 7:30am-1:30pm Saturday, July 18. This is a pay-as-you-are-able event.

Attorney John Laboe, a member of Christ the King Parish, was the guest speaker at our first 2026 Lenten Luncheon on February 26. John talked about Shepherd's Call, a program which provides affordable legal services to the community.

Jennifer Archer & Jasmine Gathright of the NH Juvenile Justice Reform Commission were the speakers at our Lenten Luncheon on March 12 at Bow Mills United Methodist Church. They talked about the mission and responsibilities of the Commission and answered lots of questions from the audience. We all learned a lot! John Keegan and Anthony Stevens were the speakers at our Lenten Luncheon on Thursday, March 5 at Christ the King Parish They spoke about "Protecting God's Creation" a ministry which seeks to promote good stewardship of the earth.
The next luncheon is this Thursday, March 12, at Bow Mills United Methodist Church. Jennifer Archer and Jasmine Gathright from the NH Center for Justice & Equality will speak about juvenile justice. All are welcome to join us from noon -1:00 pm. Cost is $7
