Supporting Our Social workers

Supporting Our Social workers We are a group of people in Cabarrus County North Carolina coming alongside our social workers to meet unmet needs of children & families they serve.

We exist to meet these needs AND to care for the social workers as they work tirelessly to serve our county's most vulnerable populations. We network with people & businesses to meet needs ranging from clothing to football cleats, beds and art lessons. The needs vary widely & no need is too small or too big. When we are notified of a need, we will be posting it here as well as sending an email to

our listserv of volunteers. Notifications will be posted when the need is met. Our mission is two-fold as we ALSO exist to honor & thank our social workers for the work they do: we do things like providing department meals and thank you treats throughout the year. To join in on the fun, send us your email & we'll add you to our listserv!! We'd love to have you!!

Here we are again, 11 days before Christmas & my heart is overwhelmed & breaking for the kids/families I'm adding to the Christmas list signup.

Y'all, we got 10 FAMILY REFERRALS TODAY....that's 30 ADDITIONAL KIDS IN NEED OF CHRISTMAS!!!

Come y'all, please be a part of this Christmas miracle by providing, sharing, & praying that gifts are provided for these children. Many are asking for clothes, including underwear.
I cannot even imagine.

We can all do something!!

Gifts can be delivered directly from Amazon/Walmart/etc. to the DSS department or we can arrange pickup privately. Gifts need to be to the Department by Thursday, 21st at the absolute latest!!!

Hello there faithful SOS Village~ As many of you may be aware, the majority of children in foster care here in Cabarrus County have already been sponsored this Holiday Season!
