We just recently returned from Remembrance Day this weekend, 11/13 - 11/16/2025. Several of us stopped at the National Civil War museum in Harrisburg, PA before heading to Gettysburg.

We had a great time taking new members around the battlefield for the first time, shopping, and spending time together. We had a tour that was led, once again, by Jim Miller, a brilliant Battlefield Tour Guide.

On Saturday, we rallied with our sister units in the National Regiment for dress parade and the parade through the town. Later that night night we partook in guarding the Soldiers Monument in the National Cemetery, an honor we have had for four years now.

We were honored, on August 9th, 2025, when the NH Veterans Association asked us to attend their annual camp weekend at the Weirs. The camps were originally built for veterans of the Civil War starting in 1875.

We stood guard while the veterans filed into and during their meeting. We then demonstrated marching, drilling, and firing.

A couple of us partook in the Grave Tales event at a cemetery in Rollingsford, NH on 10/25/2025.

Ian portrayed 16 year old James Oliver Clement, who served in the 6th NH. James enlisted in January 1864 and was died of his wounds at Petersburg, VA in June 1864. He lied about his age, claiming to be 20 years old.

A drizzly but a great day at the Paul Wentworth House on 6/28.

We were able to do drill some freshly enlisted recruits. Interact with the public and having an overall good time together.

It's has been nearly a week since our three fellows arrived in Middletown, VA for the 160th anniversary of the battle of Cedar Creek. The nights were bitter cold and the terrain poor but we survived it. We were glad to be companied with our friends in the 116th PA!

It was estimated that the battalion did 11.5 miles on Saturday and Sunday. A lot less than the real boys in blue did and they were under real fire!

Enjoy the photos. Up next is the last event of the year for us. The annual trip to Gettysburg, PA for Remembrance Day.

Three of us are attending the 160th Cedar Creek. Quite the drive, but now we’re spending a few minutes with the 8th VT before heading in to camp.

8th VT was engaged on 10/19/1864, for the day with their brigade. Given the order to hold the enemy advance, the 8th went into action with 165 men. They lost 110 men, 3 being color bearers, and 13 of 16 commissioned officers. They and their brigade did their job holding off the Confederates for 30 minutes.
