About a month ago, the daughter-in-law of an elderly woman in Gilmanton reached out to us for help. Her mother-in-law needed transportation to dialysis twice a week in Tilton. We did everything we could to find a volunteer driver, but unfortunately, we were unable to secure consistent help.

We recently learned that she has passed away.

It’s a heartbreaking reminder of how something as simple as a ride can make a life-changing difference. No one should have to struggle to access essential medical care.

If you have even an hour to spare each week—or even each month—please consider volunteering as a driver. You can choose the trips that fit your schedule, and you’ll receive mileage reimbursement at $0.70 per mile, from door to door.

Your time could truly save—or extend—someone’s life. ❤️

We are in need of volunteers throughout Merrimack and Belknap Counties! Our volunteers provide rides to medical appointment for our older non-driving residents. We receive more trip requests than we have drivers. Please consider volunteering!

Trip spotlight: We have a 78 yr old Gilford resident with an aggressive cancer. Dartmouth Hitchcock in Lebanon referred her to Mass General for treatment but she hasn't been able to get there. You know it has to be bad when Dartmouth can't help. 😨

Trip spotlight: 74 yr old Dunbarton resident, cool guy, needs to get to get to Manchester for an eye appointment. His wife will join him.

These are just two of the trips we're trying to fill, there are more and every one is important. Drivers receive a mileage reimbursement, and choose the trips they will take.

We have a Northfield resident trying to get to dialysis in Concord Tue & Thur 8-12pm for a week or two while trying to get transferred to the Tilton facility. Can you help by driving this individual? Mileage reimbursement from driver's home and back.

We need your help! If you love to drive and don't mind taking an older adult to their medical appointments, please give us a call. We offer a mileage reimbursement at the employee rate of $.70/mile, driver meetings and recognition and extended insurance when driving - just in case. 🙂 We're looking forward to talking with you!

Hi All! We need your help. The VDP is in desperate need of volunteer drivers throughout Belknap and Merrimack Counties. If you know someone that loves to drive, has a clean driving record and wouldn't mind donating a few hours each month driving non-driving seniors to medical appointments, would you ask them to consider becoming a volunteer driver? Drivers pick the trips they would like to take and we offer a mileage reimbursement.
