Founded in 1945, the 110-voice Concord Chorus is a wonderful group of welcoming people who enjoy singing and learning excellent choral repertoire and performing at the highest level. Rehearsals are held Monday evenings in Concord, Massachusetts. Under the leadership of its Music Director, Dr. Kevin Leong, the Concord Chorus invites you to share in a musical experience that will be fun and fulfilling.

The 80-voice Concord Chorus performs several concerts of choral-orchestral and smaller works each season. The repertory of the Concord Chorus encompasses music from the 16th century to the present. This season’s concerts include Maurice Duruflé’s Requiem with professional soloists and beautiful works by Felix Mendelssohn, Randall Thompson, and Morten Lauridsen.

Rehearsals are held on Monday evenings from 7:30 to 10 PM and begin September 14, 2026. Our winter concerts will be Saturday, December 12, 2026; and our spring concert will be Saturday, May 22, 2027.

As we near the end of summer, it's that time again--time for auditions!

Concord Chorus is holding auditions for all voice parts during two open rehearsals on Mondays, September 14 and 21, 2026, from 7:30 to 10 PM at Trinity Episcopal Church’s Parish Hall (81 Elm Street) in Concord, Massachusetts. The audition consists of scales, ear and pitch memory exercises, and sight-reading in order to evaluate voice, ear, and reading abilities. A prepared piece is not required, but prior musical experience is expected.

And in einem Augenblick, the Concord Chorus's 80th anniversary season has concluded. Our Sunday concert went smashingly, and our Annual Meeting on Monday was full of fun, merriment, gratitude, and cake! Thanks so much to our wonderful director Kevin Leong, our assistant director and superlative accompanist John Sullivan, our collaborators Masterworks Chorale and Pro Arte Chamber Orchestra of Boston, and our stellar chorus members and supporters. We wish everyone a restful, restorative summer.

It’s nearly time to sing the Brahms Requiem and the world premiere of “The Nature of Lost Time” by Jonathan Bailey Holland. We’re so thrilled to perform with Masterworks Chorale and Pro Arte Chamber Orchestra of Boston. What an amazing collaborative journey this has been, leading up to this exciting moment. Let’s go!

Come hear us sing our hearts out with Masterworks Chorale and Pro Arte Chamber Orchestra of Boston as we perform the Brahms German Requiem on Sunday in Lexington, as well as the world premiere of “The Nature of Lost Time”, a haunting piece commissioned specifically for the Concord Chorus’s 80th anniversary season. We are now less than 2 weeks away from our performance of Johannes Brahms’s transcendent "A German Requiem." This tour de force conducted by Kevin Leong will feature 150 voices of the combined Concord Chorus and Masterworks Chorale accompanied by the Pro Arte Chamber Orchestra of Boston, along with the stunning talents of soprano Carley DeFranco and baritone Dana Whiteside. The concert also features the world premiere of "The Nature of Lost Time," a new work commissioned by the Concord Chorus for our 80th anniversary, composed by Jonathan Bailey Holland, a recent Guggenheim Fellow and the current dean of Northwestern University’s Bienen School of Music.
