Pack 24 took part in our first campout of this school year. Eight families camped out at Morrow Mountain State Park where we hiked 4.1 miles in the Fall Mountain Trail and then enjoyed a wonderful spider program led by Park Ranger Maggie. A great time was had by all. If you missed it we have our cold weather campout coming up on December 5 at Roan Mountain State Park.

Congratulations to the 2019/2020 Webelos 2!!!! Today they were honored with the Arrow of Light Award as well as crossing over into Troop 48. Great job guys. We are all very proud of you. Also, a great big thank you to David Cole for helping guide these scouts in their last year with the pack.

Interested in joining a Cub Scout Pack with a family atmosphere, then look no further. Pack 24 is actively recruiting boys and girls in grades K-5 to join our pack. Our pack resides at Camino Church in Concord (same location as the King's Keep Learning Center). We meet at least twice a month for den meetings (usually on Monday evenings) and we try have at least one pack activity a month as well. All of our activities will involve proper safety measures to deal with Covid-19. We have several fun activities planned for this fall that include a Pack 24 Fishing Derby, a fall campout to either Morrow Mountain State Park or Lake James state Park and winter campout to Roan Mountain State Park in Tennessee where we will hike along the historic Appalachian Trail. As of the moment Camp Raven K**b is still planning Boy Scout Camp. They will get direction from CDC and BSA, and will make a final decision next week.
I have held off on depositing checks until we know the final verdict.

Come one, come all to Pack 24's first official meeting of the new school year. On Monday September 9 at 7pm all returning and new scouts are invited to attend.
