🎉 BIG NEWS for manufactured housing communities across America.
On June 16, 2026, bipartisan leaders in the House and Senate reached agreement on landmark housing legislation that includes a 7-year authorization of PRICE — HUD's first-ever federal program dedicated to preserving and expanding housing for homeowners in manufactured housing communities. 🏡

🙌 We're applauding the bipartisan champions who made this happen, including Senate Banking Chair Tim Scott, Ranking Member Elizabeth Warren, House Financial Services Chair French Hill, Ranking Member Maxine Waters, Senator Cortez-Masto, and Representatives Bacon and Bonamici, plus the more than 30 partners and grantees who never stopped advocating for this.

💬 "By authorizing PRICE, Congress is recognizing that millions of manufactured homeowners deserve the same investment, opportunity, and attention afforded to other American communities," said ROC USA CEO Emily Thaden.

📊 The numbers tell the story: more than 4 million households (most of them low- and moderate-income homeowners) live in roughly 43,000 manufactured housing communities nationwide. The first PRICE funding round was oversubscribed 14-to-1, proving the need is real and urgent.

✅ This is a win for affordable homeownership, rural communities, and infrastructure investment at a fraction of the cost of new construction.

A once-in-a-generation opportunity to protect affordability in manufactured home communities is happening RIGHT NOW — and we need you to act.

The PRICE Act is a bipartisan bill that would fund critical repairs in manufactured home communities: roads, water, sewer, drainage, accessibility, and more. Resident-owned communities, nonprofits, local governments, commercial owners and tribes all stand to benefit from this kind of targeted federal support.

The good news: a deal is close. The bad news: it's not certain that PRICE is included. Negotiations are nearly finished, and the bill could be signed into law by July 4th.

The House Financial Services Committee is voting this week to advance the 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act, but it 𝐞𝐱𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐧 𝐏𝐑𝐈𝐂𝐄 𝐀𝐜𝐭, a critical provision that supports manufactured housing communities.

Without PRICE, the current bill misses a once-in-a-generation opportunity to meaningfully address the housing crisis for low-income homeowners.

Need some inspiration? Check out what Halifax did with their Better Together Grant — they placed reflective house numbers on every home in the community, all in the same location and easy to spot. Before the project, many house numbers were missing or hidden behind trees and bushes. Now that's no longer the case!

These reflective numbers allow emergency crews to quickly locate homes when it matters most. It's the kind of project that's a great thing to have but usually stays on the wish list because it doesn't quite fit into the budget. But with the Better Together Grant, Halifax turned that wish into reality. 💚
