📚☄️ VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR COMET CORNER!☄️📚

Comet Corner is our school store where students can shop for fun, affordable items like pencils, erasers, stickers, fidgets, and seasonal surprises! 🖍️✨

🗓️ When: Thursdays, 7:40–8:10 AM
📍 Where: Outside the Media Center
🎒 Who: All grades welcome!

💰 A few things to know:
• Items are $2 or less
• Cash only
• $5 spending limit per child
• No change for bills over $20

🙋‍♀️ We need volunteers!

Volunteers should:
• Arrive by 7:30 AM for their shift
• Help sell items directly to students
• Be comfortable making change quickly — a PTO member will be there to assist!

✅ Background checks: Volunteers must have a background check on file from within the last 2 years.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Boo Hoo/Woo Hoo Breakfast and PTO Interest Meeting! 💙💛

Whether you shed a few tears saying goodbye at drop-off or were doing a little happy dance for a new school year, we loved sharing this special milestone with you! 🥹🎉

A BIG thank you to all the families who stayed after breakfast, or came out specifically for our PTO Interest Meeting. It was wonderful to meet so many new faces, share our goals for the year, and talk about all the ways you can get involved at Cox Mill Elementary. ☄️💙💛

We are SO excited for the year ahead and everything we have planned for our Comets! From events and fundraisers to volunteering and supporting our teachers and students, there are so many ways to be part of the PTO community. We can't wait to make this an amazing year together!

We kicked off the new school year with one of our favorite traditions: welcoming our incredible Cox Mill Elementary staff with a Back-to-School Breakfast! 💙

The morning was all about celebrating the amazing teachers, staff, and administrators who pour so much into our students every single day. We hope they enjoyed a delicious breakfast, great company, and a little extra appreciation before the first day of school!

A huge THANK YOU to our wonderful PTO volunteers and everyone who donated food, supplies, and their time to help make this event possible. Your generosity helps us start the school year by reminding our staff just how loved and supported they are by our school community.🍎

Here's to a fantastic 2026–2027 school year—we can't wait to see all the amazing things our Comets accomplish! 💫

Recently fulfilled PTO grants are already making an impact across Cox Mill Elementary!

Our Student Wellness Committee received supplies for quarterly PBIS celebrations, including activity kits, bubbles, popcorn supplies, and sidewalk chalk stencils to support positive behavior initiatives schoolwide.

Additional grants provided new storage containers for hands-on metric measurement activities in 4th grade math, along with yardsticks and testing dividers to support classroom learning and student confidence during testing.

Thank you to everyone who supports our PTO and helps bring meaningful resources and experiences to our students and staff!
