Join fellow equestrians and outdoor enthusiasts this Saturday to help with cleaning, painting, and outdoor cleanup projects. Whether you're handy with a paintbrush, rake, or vacuum, your help will make a difference.

📅 Saturday, June 27
⏰ 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
📍 Meet at the Hiker/Biker Lot on Podunk Road and drive to the campground location

What to bring:
✔️ Work clothes
✔️ Gloves
✔️ A mask if you have allergies

The park will provide the tools—you provide the helping hands!

🐎 Then & Now: Riding Lessons

Back in the 1980s, many riders could take a private lesson for the price of a pizza—around $10–$20. Fast forward to today, and lessons commonly range from $50–$100+.

The horse world has changed a lot over the years, but the joy of learning to ride remains the same.

The New World Screwworm has recently been detected in the United States, raising concerns for horse owners, livestock producers, and animal caretakers.

New World Screwworm larvae can infest open wounds, causing serious health issues for horses and other animals. Regular health checks and proper wound care are important steps in prevention.

✅ Inspect your horse regularly for cuts and wounds.
✅ Keep wounds clean and protected.
✅ Contact your veterinarian if you notice unusual swelling, irritation, or signs of infection.
