🐤30,000 rubber ducks were dropped on Mt. Sunapee on Sunday as part of the BGC of Central and Northern New Hampshire 10th Annual Duck Drop during which participants drop rubber ducks from the chairlift to win prizes.

But after the fun, volunteers, including three JSL members, one spouse and four kiddos headed to the mountain on Monday to help collect the ducks.

Beautiful scenery helped make this volunteer opportunity all the better, along with how this event raises money for such an important community organization. We were so happy to be part of it!

Last night, the “Junior Strutting League” took to downtown Concord to participate in the Thrive Survivor Support Center Walk A Mile to raise awareness for domestic, sexual, and gender-based violence and funds for Thrive’s important programs.

And while Bean may not have been wearing shoes, he was the cutest lobster. 🦞

We had SUCH an amazing morning harvesting our best selves doing yoga Worthy Mind & Movement today! And this donation class raised about $250 for JSL. We’re incredibly grateful to Cassie O'Brien for leading this class and creating a space to find our inner calm. 🧘‍♀️

We have so many more amazing fundraising events coming up. Please watch our socials to join the next one!

🍁 Cozy vibes, gentle stretches, and real local impact.

Join Worthy Mind & Movement and the Junior Service League of Concord on Sunday, 9/27 at 11 a.m. for an autumn charity flow that gives right back to our community!

Together, we’re raising funds for local women and children in crisis. Whether you’ve practiced yoga for years or this is your very first time stepping onto a mat, all levels and every body are warmly welcomed.

✨ What to Expect

Gentle Slow Flow: Led by Cassie O’Brien (JSL member & owner of Worthy), focusing on grounding movement.

Cozy Tunes: Set to an acoustic, feel-good playlist (think Noah Kahan vibes).

Take-Home Goodies: Every attendee receives a mini journal for post-flow thoughts and a sweet mini pumpkin! 🎃

Optional Post-Yoga Brunch: Walk over to a nearby spot with us after class (location TBD) for an informal, pay-your-own-way brunch to connect, chat, and learn more about JSL’s local impact or how you can get more involved.

📍 Location: Worthy Mind & Movement at 48 S. Main St. in downtown Concord.

💛 Suggested Donation: $20 (Cash or Venmo directly to JSL on class day - 100% goes straight to the cause with zero processing fees!). No amount is too small!

🎟️ How to Register: Spots are limited, so preregistration is highly recommended! Reserve yours at worthymindandmovement.com or on the Momence app.

Tag a friend you want to bring, and let’s feel good while doing good together! 👏👏

✨What a year!✨

It has been a privilege to lead this incredible, inspiring, and dedicated group of women. Together we accomplished our goals and stayed true to our mission, serving over 1500 community service hours, and granting over $30,000 to organizations and individuals in need in our community thanks to the extraordinary fundraising efforts of our leaders and members. This year we experimented with change, gained new partnerships and new members, and supported new (to us) organizations that provide meaningful change and opportunities for women, children, and families in crisis. We strengthened existing partnerships and built a relationship with the Woman's Club of Concord, doubling the impact of our efforts to support women in the community. We have a lot to be proud of and we are so thankful for the support of our sponsors, donors, and community members who show up to support JSL at our special events and fundraisers.

What an honor it has been to serve, thank you for trusting me with JSL!

I look forward to the thought and care, and new ideas our next President, Brenda Gallo will bring in the upcoming service year!

Sincerely in Service
Briana Williamson, JSL President '25-'26
