Are you a young person between the ages of 11 and 25? Do you identify as le***an, gay, bisexual, transgender, q***r, questioning (LGBTQ) or consider yourself an ally? If so, you should come check out one of the three youth programs under the RCC umbrella! The Rainbow Community Center of Contra Costa County hosts three groups: the first group is geared towards LGBTQ and Ally youth ages 18 to 25 wit
h a focus on leadership and personal development. The second group is for LGBTQ and Ally youth ages 14 to 18, with a focus on identity development, creating social connections, and 1-on-1 mentoring. The third group is for middle schoolers ages 11-13 and focuses on identity discovery and activism in schools. All groups strive to promote self acceptance and a positive self-identity for all youth in a healthy and fun environment. Our youth are diverse in their interests, and we like our programs to reflect that. That's why the Youth Program is proud to offer a variety of activities for it's three youth groups. Activities include: game nights, movie nights, discussing hot topics, planning youth events, peer outreach, interactive workshops, guest speakers, quarterly youth dances, and tons of cool field trips.
