A lot of exciting things have been happening at Rotary the last few weeks! We've enjoyed great programs like the one from new Cabarrus Economic Development President/CEO Gretchen Carson, who did a Rotary Exchange and brought her jacket to share! Don Seitz and President-Elect Jerri Mills attended the District Conference where Don received our Distinguished Rotarian Award and Jerri accepted an award on behalf of the club for Best Service Project for our Paint the Playground project! Rotarian Page Castrodale is sharing service with her son, Lincoln, during our weekly Cabarrus Meals on Wheels Route. And Drew Fowlie presented this month's Service Above Self Award Rudy King for all the special ways he supports our club. So much to be excited about! Want to visit? Join us for a meeting!!

The Rotary Club of Cabarrus County Coffee Dudes and Dudettes celebrated our 20th Anniversary, supporting the Cabarrus Arts Council by serving coffee at this year’s Breakfast for the Arts. Thank you to all of the Rotarians who “served” and donned the aprons this morning. ☕️ 🎭 🎶

What an incredible project we wrapped up this month at A.T. Allen Elementary School! 🎨✨

In partnership with Atrium Health and Cabarrus Partnership for Children, we transformed a blank concrete playground into a vibrant, engaging space filled with fun physical and educational activities.

A huge thank you to the Rotarians, teachers, students, and community members who came together to make this day of service so special. Watching the kids light up as they enjoy their new playground—pure magic. 💛

Thank you especially to Rotarians Liz San Jose and Ann Benfield for their leadership on this project.

Last week we welcomed the Rotaract students we sponsor from Northwest Cabarrus High School.

Rotaract is a Rotary-supported service club that helps students build leadership skills while serving their community.

The president of the club shared about their projects and what Rotaract means to them, and one of the students even presented our club with a Rotary emblem they created on a 3-D printer — a very cool gift that we will proudly display.

We’re proud to support these young leaders and the work they are already doing in our community.
