As 9/11 is approaching can't seem to shake how much we stopped caring for one another. Pointing fingers, backstabbing, and fighting over stupid things. Like masks, distancing, politics, race wars. Tomorrow it will be 19 years ago since I lost my Uncle. He worked in Tower 2. His last words were OH MY GOD. Then everything was silent. As a retired firefighter I also was deployed 19 years ago to help with the clean up. Looking for survivors. Now, I am battling cancer. I don't regret going there. But sad at so many who forgot that day. Where was you when you heard the news.
