The Concord Rotary Club of Concord, NC was established in 1922 and is Concord’s first Rotary Club.

We were honored to be joined by District AG Dana Ritchie this week! Dana presented the Concord Rotarian of the Year plaque Sheryl Kluge. Sheryl has been a member of our club for 5 years. She is the founder of 1Can of Cabarrus County and has been instrumental in installing blessing boxes around our community. Sheryl works hard to help ease food insecurity throughout Cabarrus County.

We are honored to have Sheryl as a member of our Club!

Last Wednesday, we were joined by Jenn Delaney and Cam Cruickshank of The Greater Cabarrus Foundation! Our Fellowship Rotarian was Maddie Houck. Thank you all for a wonderful meeting and great fellowship!

Congratulations to David Gordon and Venetia Skahen on earning Major Donor Status! We enjoyed hearing from Ben Henderson about the exciting plans for the 2026 Appalachian Summer Festival at Appalachian State University. We were honored last week to be joined by Scott Syfert. Scott, a Charlotte based attorney and historian, co-founded the May 20th Society to share both sides of the Mecklenburg Declaration debate.

As we approach Meck Dec Day, the debate rages on!! ( but not really, we all know it’s real)

At tomorrow’s meeting wile will welcome Ben Henderson who will share information about the upcoming Appalachian Summer Festival.

Service above self in action 💙

Members of the Rotary Club of Concord had an incredible time volunteering at the Special Olympics Cabarrus County! It was a day full of energy, joy, and inspiration.

The athletes reminded us what determination, courage, and true sportsmanship look like. We’re grateful to be part of a community that celebrates inclusion and supports opportunities for all abilities.

Grateful to have heard an inspiring presentation from Ken Griffin in honor of Rotary’s Environment Month, reminding us all of the impact we can make together.

And a huge congratulations to Sheryl Kluge on being named our Concord Rotary Club's Rotarian of the Year, so well deserved! Her dedication to Service Above Self truly shines, and our community is better because of her.
