🌿 Our second Bailey Road cleanup of the year!

Early Sunday morning, our Mosaic of Charlotte volunteers came together once again to care for the road we adopted through North Carolina’s Adopt-A-Highway program.

On October 4, gloves went on, bags came out, and our team got to work cleaning Bailey Road and helping keep our community a little cleaner and more welcoming 🌱🌱

Adopting a road is more than putting our name on a sign. It’s a commitment to show up, take responsibility, and care for the place we call home 💚

Thank you to every volunteer who gave their Sunday morning to serve our community.

Our October Embroidery Club meeting was full of creativity, tea, treats, and sweet conversations. Sometimes we are 10, sometimes 4, but the joy never changes. One of the loveliest parts of our time together is the little life lessons we gather from one another along the way. We come for the craft, and leave with fuller hearts. 💛

Rain or shine, kindness keeps showing up. 🌧️🥤❤️

Today was a rainy one in Concord, but that didn’t stop our volunteers from preparing and serving fresh smoothies alongside Concord Hellfighters and Street Corner Ministry.

A cold smoothie, a friendly conversation, and a few minutes spent together can turn an ordinary rainy day into something warmer.

We’re grateful for the volunteers and community partners who continue to show up, regardless of the weather, to serve our neighbors with care and dignity.

Because community isn’t just about being there when it’s convenient. It’s about showing up.❤️

mosaicofcharlotte Dialogue Team volunteers were glad to participate in MeckMIN’s Open Tables: “Holding Our Humanity Across Difference” at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church.

It was a meaningful evening of conversation, connection, and listening across different faiths and backgrounds. Thank you to MeckMIN for bringing the community together. 💙

Last night, 10 women gathered at Park Road Church for MeckMIN ’s Interfaith Book Club to discuss The Forty Rules of Love by Elif Shafak / Elif Şafak . Through the story of Rumi and Shams of Tabriz, we reflected on love, faith, compassion, inner transformation, and the ways we understand one another across different traditions. Grateful for another meaningful evening of thoughtful conversation, connection, and learning together. 📚✨

A taste of two traditions, shared around one table. 🥟🎃💛

At our latest cooking class at Gracious Hands , we came together to make Turkmen mantı and kabak tatlısı, a traditional Turkish pumpkin dessert.

From preparing the dough and shaping each mantı to turning pumpkin into a delicious dessert topped with tahini, walnuts, and cream, the kitchen was filled with learning, laughter, and plenty of tasting. ✨

These classes aren’t just about recipes. They’re about sharing cultures, building friendships, and creating moments of belonging through food.

A big thank you to our volunteers and everyone at Gracious Hands for continuing to make these gatherings so special. 🤍

Mosaic of Charlotte was proud to set up a booth at the community event at AxcessPointe Health System , connecting with fellow nonprofits, community leaders, and local residents.

Throughout the event, we met organizations serving different needs across Charlotte, exchanged ideas, and started conversations about potential partnerships. Because community impact grows when organizations work together.

We also loved welcoming visitors to our booth, sharing what Mosaic of Charlotte is doing across the community, and hearing from people who care about making Charlotte stronger. 💛

Some conversations may become future partnerships. Others introduced someone new to our mission. Every connection matters.

A little refreshment. A lot of connection. 🥤💛

Another Saturday with our friends at Concord Hellfighters, serving freshly made smoothies to our neighbors in the community.

Our volunteers prepared and served cold, nutritious smoothies while spending time with the people who stopped by. Because sometimes the most meaningful part isn’t what’s in the cup. It’s the conversation, the smile, and knowing someone cares. 🤝

We’re grateful for our continued partnership with Hellfighters and for every volunteer who helps turn a simple smoothie into an opportunity to connect.
