Almost two years since they “discussed the need to repurpose the closed facilities that are becoming blights in our communities.”! Mt. McGregor as well as Moriah Shock Correctional Facilities still sit vacant 10 and 2 years later, respectively. What could possibly become of 21+ walled in acres and an excess of 900,000 square feet of buildings within the facility in Comstock, New York? Nothing other than a devastating blight, or the integral Correctional Facility that it is today. Let’s make it the latter! Senator Dan Stec

We are calling on all our friends, family, customers, business owners, community leaders, and community members from all surrounding areas to join in this fight for these people who are about to be impacted by this obsurd closure. Come support them even if you only have a few minutes, make a sign, bring your chair whatever you can do will be greatly appreciated!!! Let’s come together and help these people fight this!! How many more jobs can we afford to lose In This area??if these people have to relocate there families it effects a lot of other people and jobs as well! Someone’s wife or husband may be a teacher in our school system or a nurse in our hospitals, drs offices, counselors, bus drivers ect… it’s going to be a huge impact…it doesn’t effect just the one that works for the prison, think about that for a minute…
