We don't post much on here, but our June LTRowers just graduated. We had three rousing river races between 4 8+ boats! The blue boat was the overall winner. Everyone had a great time! Thanks to our coaches and all the members who made our Graduation and BBB such a success! We're hoping our new rowers join the club - they are such a great group. Our July LTR class begins on Monday, July 7.

This past Wednesday night was our last BBB and LTR Graduation. It was a wonderful night on and off the river. We had 3 eights and a quad racing (3 races) 500m sprints upstream. Thanks to all the club members who helped celebrate and all the graduates and their families who shared the evening with us. A very special thanks to Little S and his brother, who helped wipe boats and carry slings.

It was another amazing(ly hot) day spent with fantastic rowers! Thanks to UP Rowing, TACR, NMRC, South Bend, and Bay City Rowing clubs for making our Beer City Scrimmage so exciting and fun! Here are some of the highlights from the day! Congratulations to our July LTRowers who rowed today: Hannah, Dylan, Sean, Paula, and Moriah, who all earned at least one medal . . . and they haven't even finished the LTR class. Outstanding performance by all the novice rowers!

Our June Learn To Row class brought so much energy and enthusiasm to our club this past month. Our BBB clubhouse regatta was great; calm waters, fast boats, and good food. Thanks to all the June LTRowers and their families for making it such a fun night.

Our June LTR class is about to wind up and we have had a wonderful time on the water. We are SO impressed by the improvement in technique and power AND the strong team bond they have formed. Our LTR Graduation and BBB (boats, burgers, and beverages) will be Wednesday, July 3. Will be posting more photos soon!

Huge turnout for our Coxswain Clinic. Thanks to Tom, Lauren Keough, and those from the various teams who are here.

Neither rain nor heat nor gloom of night . . . will keep our rowers off the water. The rain stayed with us for the entire practice, but our club and new LTRowers took it in stride and kept rowing. It certainly was an experience to remember! Two LTR 8s, a novice 4, and 2 very wet coaches on the water. Good Luck to our WN4+ this weekend at MCI.

Make sure to set your calendar to Saturday, June 3. This is the first of three free, community Learn To Row Days. No need to sign up; just show up between 9am - 12noon. We'll give you a quick lesson on the indoor rower, familiarize you with the boat, and let you try out sweep rowing on The Grand River. It's a blast!
