Today our students in the Leadership Class at Centennial High School () with Senior Program Coordinator completed our Affirmation Statement Worskheet. Line by line the students read and answered whether or not they believed what was written, gave examples when needed and had great discussions on respecting others.

I AM FEARFULLY AND WONDERFULLY MADE.

I AM CREATED FOR A SPECIAL PURPOSE.

I AM CREATED TO ACHIEVE GREAT THINGS IN THIS WORLD.

THEREFORE, I WILL NOT SETTLE FOR

LOW-LEVEL THINKING,

LOW-LEVEL SPEAKING OR LOW-LEVEL LIVING.

I WILL THINK BIG, SPEAK BIG AND

LIVE TO ACHIEVE GREAT THINGS.

AS I LOVE MYSELF AND LOVE OTHERS,

AS I RESPECT MYSELF AND RESPECT OTHERS,

I WILL CONQUER EVERY CHALLENGE THAT IS SET BEFORE ME.

Dr. Dominique Woods, the daughter of George Woods (former Compton High School student and football player) spoke to the Compton Football Team.

Her father was one of our mentors who mentored some of the young men on the football team. She wanted to extend her father's legacy of making an impact on these guys.

She accomplished the mission.

Thank you, Dr. Woods!
